First time eating there. Lunch of Reuben and Chicken Salad Sandwiches were delicious and filling. The waitress was super friendly. Took a bit longer than we expected for our food however it was enjoyable. A tad of the pricey side. It probably is a great local place if they have Live Music. Just passing through but recommend stopping there if in the area.
The wedge salad was INCREDIBLE! Huge, super fresh, and great price! New favorite menu item!
Food had incredible depths of flavor, creativity and freshness. We were so impressed with each dish from appetizers to desserts. We have already planned a return visit with our family!
This place is incredible! The food is delicious, and they always have some of the most interesting beers on tap. This is a MUST STOP for locals and travelers alike.

Visited Foot of the Mountain Cafe following a Sunflower Festival just a few minutes away, and it was wonderful! Ordered the Aunt Eakin burger medium, and the flavors were absolutely delicious! Melted pimento cheese with a cheesy sweetness contrasted well with the acidity of the crunchy fried green tomato, with bacon for more crunch flavor. The expertly cooked to medium juicy beef burger was presented on a toasted bun. I would order this burger again and again, as the flavors are so balanced, and it's craveable. The accompanying Mac and cheese was flavorful, but not outstanding. My dining mate had the barbecue sandwich with slaw, and it was deemed delicious. Their onion rings were excellently cooked to a nice crunch, and were not soggy. I noted many diners enjoying the onion rings so they must be a speciality here. The two wait staff were overextended and very busy, but our food came in a timely manner, When ready to leave, we waited a considerable time to receive our bill, as the restaurant had filled quickly after our arrival. The atmosphere is plain, and some of the seating is old. There is an outside patio dining area which seemed pleasant. Great food with fair service, beautiful mountain views, and excellent community and Interstate dining support keeps this place on its toes! I will return and order that burger again!
Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious Big Bowl Salads are available. Discuss options for menu vegan/ vegetarian variations or substitutions with the wait staff.
Dietary restrictions: Inform your wait staff of any food intolerances or allergies and they will gladly supply info as needed.
Parking: On the day of our visit parking was not an issue, but parking space can become sparce especially on specific weekends (sunflower festival, fall leaf viewing weekends etc) The large parking lot is irregularly shaped, and unmarked parking areas become a little confusing on heavy days, as cars may park erratically, taking more space then needed.
Kid-friendliness: There were no children in the restaurant during our visit, but children are welcome.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility for wheel chair users is good, but there are some rough areas in the gravel parking lot. One marked accessible space was near the entrance, with a ramp to the main door directly from the one accessible spot. I did not access the restrooms.

The service was great and reasonably priced. The food came out fast and was delicious. The menu was huge which usually scares me but everything we tried was good. Give them a shot if your in the area.

Really nice local place off I-81. The food was fresh and really good. I wasn't expecting much walking in but was pleasantly surprised. It's better than most of the places in Roanoke.

My burger was phenomenal. The mac and cheese and waffle fries were pretty mediocre but that's okay. It was a good experience overall. We enjoyed it. Our waitress was great. There's nothing particularly incredible about the place it's just a wonderful spot for local families and people passing through town.

Loved the homemade baked beans and the chicken salad and coleslaw was really good as well . Seems like a family owned small business and everyone seemed to really care about the quality of service. No complaints here ! Great food in a small town, thanks again

Surprisingly eclectic options and large menu for a roadside pit stop. Great service and deserts too.
Went here for dinner on a Friday night. The place was busy but we did not have to wait. They have a nice outdoor seating area. Our waitress was good. The staff was friendly and service was fast and accurate. The food we got was very good. Large portions for the price.

We were on our way to williamsburg and kids were getting hungry. Youngest said burgers and this popped up on Google. Excellent. It looked like a hole in the wall, which I kind of love anyway. There were 5 of us, we all tried something different and everything was tasty.
