Came in based on location and reviews, very glad we did. Wife and I split the Sheppards pie and a bowl of chicken enchilada soup. Possibly the best Sheppards I have ever had, and so much that even splitting it there was some left over. Our friend had a Cuban sandwich which he commented was one of the best Cubans he had ever had. Decor and ambiance were a treat, service great, and beer cold. You can't go wrong!

Parking: Back in parking available all up down the street, then a short walk to the restaurant.

We visited 4 years ago and came back this year. Service was fantastic our waiter was super friendly she recommended a blueberry cocktail and it was delicious. Of course there are flies if u sit outdoors BUT they warn you it didn’t bother us at all.
Parking is easy well we visited in September not sure during peak season.
Kids meals are good size, crab dip delicious wish it had like small toasted bread on the side not pita. Loaded nachos were great too.
Anyway we will be back Thank you for wonderful service.

Kelly's continues to look and feel like a laid-back locals' pub in an increasingly touristy town. The historic space itself is worth a visit. I would describe much of the menu as comfort food: shepherd's pie, fish n' chips, crab cakes, and a build-your-own burger. I got a burger this time, and it was great, but I've enjoyed other dishes during previous visits. Even the fries are delicious. There is a decent selection of beers on tap, and I was pleased to find Old Speckled Hen once again. No visit to Cape Charles is complete without popping into Kelly's.

Had lunch on 8/11. Server was Sarah D.
Total bill: $46.94 with $8.00 tip=$54.94.
Credit card company informed me that I was charged a $20.00 tip.
Called restaurant twice, spoke to manager Jen, who said she was aware and that Owner Colleen Kelly would contact me to resolve. I have not received any calls back from this restaurant or credit per the waitresses error.
Please check your credit card statements. Per no response from owner, this appears to be acceptable. Wondering how many others...

What a cute place! Very historic and cozy. The decor and atmosphere was inviting. The service was prompt and friendly. My family and I visited while traveling for a late lunch on a Sunday. The downtown location is scenic and the food was delicious. There is outdoor seating, and I saw a woman that had her dog with her, so the restaurant is pet friendly. I had the BBQ chicken nachos. My daughters had the fish and chips and a casear salad. My husband had the crabcake sandwich. And my son had the wings. We ordered dessert to go because we were so full, but the carrot cake Smith island cake and the coconut cake looked too tasty to pass up. The whole experience was amazing. Highly recommend:-)
