i was excited for this place because their breakfast sectional looked good. i went for my birthday with two girlfriends at 12 and got declined because apparently there wasn’t enough seatings but we looked around and there was empty tables. Waitress told us to come back in 30 mins and I waited outside in the heat hungry and we came back at 1 and she said she couldn’t serve us because they close at 2 so we just said ok and left. I came back alone earlier and felt super unwelcome. Ordered a latte, oat milk and two shots of hazelnut and it tasted nothing but flat coffee and water. Ordered a croissant, wasn’t bad but the energy i was given by the host and waitress made me feel like they didn’t want to serve me. I don’t know what I did wrong but definitely won’t be coming here again simple because of feeling like I didn’t belong in a place that’s open to the public.

Great food, and a great view from the porch overlooking Cape Charles marina. Lox board, and crustless quiche are faves. Generous mimosas!

My spouse and I came in and when a place is pretty empty on a weekend, it's obvious there is an issue. They didn't have bean decaf coffee, which several shops in Cape Charles have, so they should have fixed that, easily. There was several brunch items on the menu that I could have had if they just got some gluten free bread options. They didn't have any, so there was only one option, a crustless quiche which was pretty burnt and didn't appear to be very fresh. My spouse had pancakes, which were from a mix and not very good, frozen blueberries, and not fresh, and the syrup was something that had corn syrup in it and not the real thing. I had some French fries as well, which were supposed to be herbed, but they were just overly salted fries with ketchup. There was a loud pump across the street running off and on and not the fault of the hotel, but it still took away from the outside atmosphere. I will give this place a miss next time. The staff was nice and accommodating, but the food was closer to a Denny's. Thanks, but no thanks.

We will never return to this place. The service was ok. Kinda slow. We waited longer than we should have for our food. And especially our second round of drinks. Our brunch was ruined by staff that came out supporting protesters walking by. These ladies were yelling loudly and clapping. Right behind my chair. They all attempted to squeeze in behind my chair and the corner of the deck railing. It would have continued had a woman who was celebrating her birthday with her friend told them to stop. And explained to them to go down on the steps or sidewalk to show your support. Not right here next to the tables.
We are not from the area. So I didn't explain my frustrations.
We will never return due to this!

We happened into this very quaint cafe in the Northampton Hotel in Cape Charles. We were here in the off season so not many choices. This was the most amazing breakfast. Open from 8-12 with a brunch menu. My daughter had the strawberry and Nutella crepes, I had the spinach, tomato and Shrimp crustless quiche and my mom had the almond butter yogurt and fruit. Everything was amazing and the presentation was beautiful! I highly recommend stopping in and having a delicious bite!!
We ate outside on a beautiful Sunday morning. I had Huevos Rancheros, an iced coffee, and truffle fries, all of which were delicious! Service was great. View was nice. It was very sunny, so some customers chose to roll down the shades, which I thought was a nice touch to have available.

Great location, close to the beach. Sitting on the front porch and sipping lattes was a pleasant way to start the day. Food was tasty; I got a crepe with scrambled eggs and veggies, and a side of sausage and ham. Although I didn't get one, there were a number of cocktails which sounded good.

Cute cafe with very good breakfast/brunch. The best Huevos rancheros! The salmon crepes are not pictured but they were good as well.

This place is a must try. Everything about our experience was excellent. My wife and I met the chef outside just before opening and she was so kind. When we sat down she personally brought out us a complimentary coffee cake with my cappuccino was the best I’ve ever had - buttery, crisp, and soft! We ordered the beignets and Huevos Rancheros to share, which they gave VERY generous portions. The picture was only half, as they split the dish onto two different plates. We will definitely be back!
