We stumbled across this bakery by accident on a staycation and were completely taken aback by the quality of the items we purchased, as well as how wonderful the two owners were. I ordered the seaside on the walnut and blue cheese sourdough, and it was a truly a phenomenal food experience. Not only was the sourdough incredibly fresh, it had a wonderful combination of flavors and would be reason enough in of itself for us to return to Cape Charles. Not only to explore all of the different varieties of delicious and fresh baked sourdoughs (amongst other items), but also to support a new local business with an exceptional product.

Great bakery handmade bread, french baguette, incredible. Delicious specialty pastry.. I like the cape Charles sandwich,thin sliced country ham sliced Parm mystery sauce!! And arugula on a baguette. The other sandwich s great as well. The coffee an pastry line starts early .

Our family stayed in cape Charles this past weekend to attend holiday events. Each morning I went to the bakery to get croissants ( chocolate, ham and cheese, everything with cream cheese etc). All absolutely amazing!! Light, fresh, buttery, just plain good! Whole famil , 7 adults 3 children felt the same. Stopped on the way home to get take out. So good and service is exceptional!!

Absolutely divine! I’m in love with this bakery! Everything they make is not only beautiful but delicious. Flakey pastries with just the right amount of sweetness, just as wonderful as the French bakeries I’ve been to! What a gem we have here in Cape Charles!

I've wanted to try this bakery for a while now but I always show up just after they closed. This weekend we were able to make it happen. They were close to closing and nearly sold out of all their baked goodies but we needed a quick sandwich to go and were very pleasantly surprised. They still had a few large brownies and some grab-n-go items like cookies available. They have about 4 sandwich options either on fresh-baked baguette bread or focaccia upon request. All sounded good so it was tough to choose. I chose the Cape Charles with thinly shaved ham, Parmesan and Asiago, arugula and house dressing on a delicious baguette. It was ready in only minutes and absolutely wonderful. The ham was fresh and thinly sliced, cheese was pungent and their house dressing was delicious on a crispy, fresh baguette. This would be perfect to grab and take to the beach for the day. A new fav to add to my list when visiting!

Best croissant I've had in a long time! Kids enjoyed the blueberry muffins. Can't wait to try some other things! Edit to add: tried to go back the next day and they were sold out of pastries by 9:30. Definitely go before opening and stand in line!

Really good bakery, got a coffee and chocolate croissant and both were delicious. Staff member was very friendly and accommodating too.

My wife and I agreed that they have the Best chocolate chip cookie and sandwich we've ever eaten. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to visit there again.

Love, love, LOVE this bakery!! If you happen to be there on pizza day you are in for a REAL treat. Sandwiches are made to order and the dressing on the Cape Charles is to die for! And any of the baked goods are more than worth the calories!

Just got Yelp to describe how amazing the stuff I got from this small bakery in town. I got a red velvet cupcake and a sandwich and some other sweets for my kids. The cupcake was AMAZING, very moist and literally one of the best I've ever had. I got a ham and butter sandwich and that warm baguette it came on was OUT OF THIS WORLD, I've never had anything like it. My kids liked everything I got for them, chocolate croissants and super chocolatey caramel brownie. Amazing customer service and super quick, you can taste how homemade everything was like my grandmas (maybe even better). Just get there early since they sell out quick but I will definitely come here again!!

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because what we did get was delicious. We come to Cape Charles once a year as a family of 7. We get sandwiches and go to the beach. It is tradition for us. This year our sandwiches were extremely small. There have been times in the past we could split a sandwich. Today they were so small. Little bits of arugula and ham. I was highly disappointed. Also, the girls that were working were not very friendly. I hope this bakery brings it back around because Today was very disappointing.
