We visited here as our first place in Cape Charles. The restaurant was very hot, I was sweating just sitting in my seat. It really made for a miserable time as I couldn’t focus on having a good dinner cause I was so hot. When served, we were only checked on for initial drinks and when served food. Our food came out cold. I asked for sauce for my food, never received it. Overall just really disappointed with the general service, food, and atmosphere.
We wanted to try something new. Going in we were greeted right away. My husband got the hamburger steak string beans and lima beans. I got the steamed shrimp and lime beans. The food was delicious. It was like home cooking. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It will be a regular spot from now on.
Workers were installing new soda machines. Machines were being wheeled directly through the front of the restaurant. Installation was loud. Sodas were not available, but we were directed to the store next door to purchase sodas for our meals. My husband enjoyed two 50 percent off appetizers; I had a ham/turkey club with fries.
