Whenever we have the chance to be back in the DMV area, we always make time to stop by our favorite local restaurant Ciao Osteria. Located in an unassuming strip mall in Centreville, owners Sal and Gina along with Chef Antonio ensure the food and service are the best. Yesterday we were able to pop in for a quick appetizer and wood fired pizza. Fresh authentic Italian tastes are what make this such a neighborhood gem. Be brave and try the Polipo alla griglia ( grilled octopus)...
The was the tail of two diametrically opposed experiences in one visit.
THE POSITIVE:
The food was outstanding. And I don't say that often. It was on the expensive side, but worth it for excellent food. The pizza and chicken parmesan was was amazing. And it should be illegal for Tiramisu to taste that good. Over the top amazing.
THE NEGATIVE: Unfortunately, the services was mediocre to poor. Not only was it exceptionally...

We had a great celebration for my parents 50th Anniversary. The reservation was easy to make. On arrival the table was ready and we were greeted with many warm smiles. The staff and our waiter Brad were quick and very helpful throughout the entire evening. We ordered a number of starters and entres. Each item was delicious. Tiramisu and Pistachio Cheesecake finished off the night the right way. Thank you.
