Hao Ru Restaurant 하오루

I came to the restaurant at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The restaurant was already closed, as the hours posted online as well as at the restaurant has them closing at 9:30 PM when people commute to the restaurant, they are expecting to establish to be open. Customer service administered to potential customers, I knocked on the door, and the man just basically told me they were closed, with no explanation or anything.

When I order food for delivery I expect it to be ready to eat! Instead I had to get in the kitchen use 2 pots and boil water to reheat the noodles as they arrived cold! Also, the containers they came in, I couldn’t eat it in so I had to dirty up my dishes! The spicy noodle dish was also sweet! Will never order from here again!

I came here for lunch and thought that it was a great Korean-Chinese restaurant! As someone from NYC, it’s so difficult to find Korean-Chinese fusion dishes so when I found one while I was in Virginia, I was so happy! The restaurant is homey and casual, with great quick service.

We ordered their special dumplings, jjajjangmyeon, tansuyuk, beef fried rice, and donkatsu. It was an all-around amazing meal. The dumplings were huge and saucy (despite being so red, they were actually fairly sweet). The jjajjangmyeon and tangsuyuk were hits and both delicious. I also loved how they gave black bean sauce and jjampong broth on the side for you to enjoy with your fried rice. The only dish that might’ve been a miss was the donkatsu as we thought it was a bit dry. Otherwise, everything was great and I would definitely come back if I was craving Korean-chinese fusion, or just a comforting meal!

Ordered through uber eats tonight and the food was just disgusting and inedible. The tangsuyuk pork was literally cold and raw!!!!!

I really like this place their Tang Su Yuk is so good. Only complaint is I order extra rice that cost 3$ and barely get any, i’m talking to the point it barely covers the bottom. (Online ordering)

Jjampong, Jjajang, Tangsooyook. They are all good. Owner and servers very friendly.

Currently my favorite restaurant - i need to eat my Hao Ru jjampong noodles at least once a week. Tang soo yook is very delicious - just like home in Korea.

Hao Ru has the feel of a loved Chinese restaurant with the impeccable service of a Korean one. And yes, banchan is given.

The food was amazing and the portions were huge! Each combo set was about $16 and we had more than enough leftovers to last 1-2 days. Everything tasted amazing and high quality, so we were very satisfied with what we got.

Service was also great! The staff, although small, were kind, efficient, and just lovely to be around. I would say that you should get there before the dinner rush because this restaurant hosts many big groups! When we were there 3 big groups came in (9+ people) so service had to slow down to accommodate.

Overall we had an excellent time and we will be coming back soon!

Had the spicy sweet sour pork, egg shrimp drop soup & dumplings. Excellent. Truly a Korean Chinese restaurant and not a Korean restaurant that serves Chinese food. Seoul quality!
