Young Chow Cafe was the only Chinese food my family trusted for 15+ years. Even after we moved, we kept coming back. The original owner made it personal — she knew my name and my order.
But since she retired, it’s gone completely downhill. The food is slimy, fake-tasting, and nothing like before. I tried three times, hoping it’d bounce back, but it’s just bad now. Even friends I recommended said the same.
It was always priccey but worth it, the quality is gone, and the heart of the place left with her. I won’t be back.. this sucks really

The messed up 3 of out of the 5 orders. Hot & sour instead of egg drop, fried dumplings instead of crab rangoon, etc. The food tasted pretty bad. Woukd NOT recommend. Will not go back.

Not much of an atmosphere but it’s clean and the staff are super friendly. This is the highest rated Chinese food in my vicinity and it has never done me wrong. The only thing I’d wish they’d add is a “classic” egg roll. I’ve not had the crispy spring rolls but people seem to really like it!

Egg drop soup wasn't good and the dumplings weren't good either. The dumplings were suppose to be crispy and they weren't. The egg drop soup tasted like they made the batch weeks ago. I also saw a bug in the egg drop soup. Food quality definitely went down. Worst food I've ever tasted.

This used to be the best chinese place in all of prince William county, I would come in here while my kids were at swim next door. We moved away several months ago and I was back in Centreville for an appointment so stopped in.

When I noticed the normal woman wasn't there and the décor was vastly different I asked if the place had been sold and had new owners. The boy working the front flat up told me no. So I ordered my normal which was a LOT more expensive then it ever used to be.

I will say the food quality plummeted. The pan fried dumplings are mid at best now and used to be the best part of my order. The beef and broccoli managed to taste old, the meat which used to be flavorful and soft was now dry, tough and greatly lacking in flavor.

It's sad to see what they did to this once great restaurant.. guess i'm gonna have to find another one.

Just as good as I from the old Manassas location. Same owner, still great food!

seeing the recent reviews here confirms my suspicions, when I ordered in the past and asked where Vonn is I was told she was on vacation in Korea and Vietnam? but the way it was said made no sense and so I kept coming back thinking Vonn would return but kept getting weird excuses finally they tell me she retired and only after I said your food tastes different has the cook changed? and was told no same guy been here 15 years then but we have a new guy too. the kid in the front made no sense and the food is a huge disappointment like the rest of the recent reviews food is bland and not savory needless to say I will not be coming back here

Yikes … I have always loved Young Chow.. However with the new ownership the quality of the food did just not carry over. The chicken wings were too salty and dry. The cashew chicken looked more like buffalo chicken. No savory brown sauce like always. The wontons in the wonton soup were tough and the broth had way less flavor. It makes me so sad to say I will not be ordering from here again.

I don't know is new owner,but quality has gone to s h it,with my order I got panda express sy sauce,they are a fast food place now

Loved the restaurant and owner - she was always on top of the order. Was very friendly. Seems to be under new management. Got incorrect order. They were out of our favorite item. Everything seems to have gotten worse under the new ownership. Very disappointing :-(
