I had a burger and I am infinitely sure that it was not beef or if it was then it was spoiled. Unfortunately I didn't leave after the first bite and thought maybe it was prepared differently. But after two more bites I realized that something was absolutely wrong with the meat. I asked if it was real beef and voiced my criticism. They just laughed at me, saying that no one had ever complained before. Terrible restaurant, terrible food and I'm so annoyed at what I've done to my stomach.

There are few and far between airport eateries that are worth a write-up good, bad or indifferent. But Bistro Altelier makes the difference. It goes far beyond the common rubbish airports have to offer. You don’t find French-style bistros at landing pads very often (except France)! You shouldn’t expect miracles here, but the fact that their offerings are different, decent and a terrific change of pace, makes it worth reviewing. Nowhere else at this port will you find Croque Madame, very well done I might add. Or an Onion Soup en Croute, and offer a decent Pechuer of Tilapia, lettuce, tomatoes, confit and red pepper remoulade – and liqueur! Not the best ever mind you, but worthy of letting fellow travelers at Dulles know there’s more than junk food at an outdated and barren international airport called Dulles!

Nothing like sitting down and being ignored. A couple sat before I did and were ignored also. Why?? Hardly any business and a person behind the counter. The couple and I just got up and left.

I went because this looked like a good spot but that wasn’t the case. The service was not good and the person at the bar did not ask how my food tasted or refill my water.I ordered the french soup and it came out lukewarm warm and tasted ok. I also ordered the eggs Benedict and it was the worst!!! The bacon was burnt and really salty, looked like it was left over from the morning, the english muffin was hard and tasted like cardboard. Feels like the staff would rather socialize with each other than the customers. I would never eat here again

Greasy but it’ll do in a pinch. Food wasn’t bad but quite greasy for a breakfast sandwich. It was ready super fast! Service was great no complaints. If you have the time I’d walk to C but for D this is probably as good as it gets. Very average but works fine for a quick bite.

A bit chaotic considering the need to serve customers at a busy airport. Service was slow with order accuracy often missed

I ordered the eggs Benedict ($18.99)! It was absolutely disgusting! Real French cuisine would cry over this tragedy. Overtoasted English muffin, very runny (uncooked whites) eggs, a dribble of holandaise sauce, too much bacon and a heap of French fries! How was any of it French cuisine?! The coffee is acidic and bitter and a tiny cup was $4.59.

The staff know how to get you in and out in short order which is a positive for an airport, right? But while the staff are efficient, they also have a very stoic and robotic approach to their service. The food is just okay but again, you're paying for convenience and brevity.

Racist experience. Sat down first (only black person) waited 10 min… white couple walk in after. Indian waitress looks over me and asks them to move into her section. When I express this to my waitress who FINALLY comes. There is no action or apology

So, I waited awhile for service, and I finally got my eggs Benedict. I won’t say the food was bad, but you can tell a lot about a place by how they treat this offering. Probably one of the bottom three in my life. The coffee was old. But the wait staff? Completely indifferent to the customers who provide the revenue. My waitress only stopped at my table when I flagged her down across the room and she only had two tables!

Refused to wash the bar counter as I sat down used a bar napkin to wipe my area after I asked - did not see bartender wash hands once - after picking up dirty napkins, new food to deliver to guests, after counting money, clearing dirty plates- it was gross - paid for drink and got out of there - seriously nastyPetri Dish- someone call the health department!!!

Part 1:I ordered the English Breakfast and I asked for over easy. The waitress replies scrambled I said no Over easy. The order comes out and I told her the eggs were over easy. Instead of admitting to her mistake and getting me an order with over easy. She argued with me that she did not hear my order. I replayed our conversation and then says do you want it not. I replied it's not what I ordered. She replies so you want me to change it? I stopped at this point as the conversation should not have gone this far with her questioning what I ordered. The staff here seem to have English as a second language and could use a bit more customer service when they mess up an order.Part 2:The waitress came back and apologized and gave me a discount for her error and offered a take out coffee for my troubles. I thought that was a nice gesture considering the misunderstanding. Definitely the customer service one would expect.
