Bar Symon was an unexpected, positive airport food surprise. We flew in and were waiting for a late evening connection a couple of months ago and stopped in Bar Symon to grab something to eat prior to boarding a long flight. Pretty good for airport food. That said it was not cheap. I liked that they had plugs for your electronics so you can charge them while you are eating. I also thought the wait staff was quick and attentive. I will give them a try again when I return.

Normally, I try to avoid eating at airports, especially at non- national chains. However, a few months ago I found myself at IAD with a long layover.We stopped by Bar Symon and it is potentially the best food I have ever had at an airport.
