Stopped in for a quick lunch on the way to Jamestown and very glad I did. Order the hamburger and it was delicious! Hand made thick patty with fresh ingredients and hot seasoned fries on the side. Finished the meal with a piece of coconut cake that reminded me of my grandmas. Definitely will return when in the area!
If you want to come here for food great.. if you actually want service this is not the place to come to.. on this day for lunch there was two waitresses working and the restaurant was full.. at the end of our meal we waited a half an hour for a box to take food home and a bread pudding dessert which evidently they changed the recipe and do not add ice cream with it anymore either.. there was a couple who waited for 10 minutes, they weren't sat.. they actually set themselves,...
Very traditional building, the people were very respectful and polite. The food was very good, but it was also grease and butter heavy, which was to be expected. The server was very nice, but she didn't know the answer to our question about the crab cakes. While she answered our question, the reality proved to be different, so we would have preferred an honest answer that she didn't know, rather than what happened. We ordered two entrees of crab cakes, and one of them...
