Came with high expectations but was somewhat disappointed. We came for dinner - salad was good but rest of the food was very average - tried the chickpeas, mixed vegetables, spinach and butternut squash - taste was decent but served at room temperature. First timer here -I hardly ever write reviews but I was visiting UVA with my family and was blown away by the freshness of the food, the variety and the attention given to us by the manager and the chef. They treat EVERYBODY like family!! Everything is made from scratch! Kabobs & Lamb were heavenly. Eggplant entree was divine and the bread could eaten all day. Never had Afghan food - think middle eastern with Asian ( not oriental) influence. Highly Recommended!
