This company consists of two men and a dozen large iced to own coolers under a tent. I have purchased seafood from similar places in the past with wonderful results. Unfortunately , The smell was so strong when I cooked the fish, we had to throw it out.

When we stopped here a few minutes ago an my friend said "oh we gotta stop here an get some seafood" I was not sure I'd be eating anything from a pile of coolers under a tent on the side of 250... Well we're still here an I will never get seafood from anywhere else but them. The people are beyond friendly helpful sanitary an even offer tips on different ways to prepare... We got some salmon, but I sent my friend back over to get some oysters an tuna for sushi... Love this place. Do not hesitate to shop with them.

This place is so good. I am back in Seattle now, where we don't exactly suffer from lack of quality seafood, and already missing it. It ain't cheap, but... it is so quality. If I were ever cooking for 2-3 people and did not feel like cooking, I would get their she-crab soup. It is exactly like how I would make it, only better--I swear it even has some bourbon or rum. And at $20 for the largest size, if you serve it with some decent bread (or hush puppies...just sayin') and something green, that's $30 for a gourmet meal. I've also gotten delicious scallops and lobster tail here.

Anderson’s has the best fresh fish around. They were very helpful in directing me to the right fish to buy and have me tips on how to make my own sushi. They only come to Charlottesville during the weekends and they have a truck with a tent set up.

Don’t hesitate to buy here if you love fresh seafood. I mean sure, it’s a guy under a tent in a gravel lot selling fish in zip lock bags out of coolers - but trust me it’s WAY cheaper and WAY better than anything in the grocery store. I’ve bought a few times now and the fish never smells and is always TOP quality - he knows what he’s doing. He’s also the only one that sells never frozen sushi grade tuna anywhere near here. Order ahead or go on Thursday if you want something popular because he will sell out!I hear he gets his stuff from Sam Rust which is an excellent wholesaler. I could be wrong though.
So glad I could finally get some fresh seafood!! The chowder was delicious, the clams were so good and the crablegs were AMAZING!!
