I’ve eaten here a handful of times and they never disappoint. Food and hot beverages are good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff Updated from previous review on 2026-02-02
Loved the service, atmosphere and menu. Going back for brunch over the weekend, can't wait. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-26
This cozy nook a couple doors down from The Nook on the downtown mall has that down to earth cottage in the woods vibes. The decor is immaculate. The food is comforting. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I'm stunned by how delicious my cupcake and (crab) soup were. But what really sold me on the place was watching them steam the milk for my chai latte with the loose tea and spices in the milk. It was truly phenomenal. This is a place I will want to come back to again and again.

The food was excellent, very flavorful .
I have been vegan for 8+ years and this is by far my favorite vegan restaurant I have been to. Food is outstanding, fresh and healthy ingredients are always a plus. My favorite dish is their Miso Mac & Cheese. I love to grab a treat (cupcake, rice crispy) as well. Great for solo diners. Cool atmosphere, staff is very friendly and knowledgable. You need to try it here!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Clean, creative, and full of heart
I’m not vegan, but I love food that’s healthy, clean, and made with intention — and this place nailed it. I ordered the Gochu Street Corn plate and the Miso Mac & Cheese, and both were standout dishes.
The Gochu Street Corn was bright and flavorful, with a subtle spiciness that complemented (not overpowered) the sweetness of the corn. It had just the right amount of zip without being overwhelming. The Miso Mac & Cheese was creamy and comforting, yet felt lighter and more thoughtful than a typical mac & cheese. The miso brought a depth and savory twist I didn’t expect — in the best way.
Visually, everything was beautifully plated. You could tell care went into arranging the ingredients so each element had space to shine.
The atmosphere added to the experience: relaxed, welcoming, and with a vibe that feels intentional (in décor, music, lighting) — not trying too hard, just right. The service was warm and unobtrusive.
If you’re seeking a place that pushes beyond “just tasty” to “meaningful and mindful,” this spot deserves a try. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I absolutely love this place and so does my non-vegan significant other. To have vegan and gluten free options the way they do? Amazing. We've never waited very long and everything is so good. I've had the Cauliflower Nubs (both appetize and the full dish), the special Hash browns, Savory and Sweet Waffles (savory is my favorite), Mac n cheese, Mushroom based chicken sandwich (I don't know the actual names of the dishes). I don't do fake meats and they have plenty of non processed options without the fake vegan meats. Their GF Almond cookies are great for an occasional treat. If In doubt, give it a try. I will miss them when I move back to NC.

Restaurantji Recommends
I had heard of this restaurant from an Exam Room podcast a few years ago. Found them on this app and stopped on my way home last week. I had their signature crunchy cauliflower bowl and a large latte; generous portions, helpful staff and very good food! Highly recommend! Park in the Main Street parking garage (close to them). Will definitely go again when I am in the area; C’ville is not terribly rife with vegan options-this one is a treasure!
Great Vegan spot, quick service decent prices, delicious food. Would definitely come back!

The sticky cauliflower dish is amazing! The way they breaded and fried the cauliflower kept it crispy and crunchy but soft enough to melt in your mouth! The sweet potato bowl was also delicious. Tried the pumpkin chai iced and some of the berry pistachio dessert squares. I wish we had this spot in Richmond!!

So many choices! I had the chili, cornbread and not on photo a small dessert. Excellent food with great flavor. Quite filling! I hope to be back to this area so I can eat here again.
Their breakfast burrito was wicked good. Lentils are a great addition. My friends both loved their tuna salad sandwiches.
