The sunflower WW is the best bread ever for toast! I actually buy extra and gift it. Freezes well too. Never had a bad cookie here either. ???

The deli sandwiches and inexpensive, delicious cookies are now a part of our weekly routine! I highly recommend this place.

Just ate a loaf of Bread Works soda bread! Absolutely delicious. I cannot stop eating it! Slightly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Fruit pieces so tasty and overall the perfect amount of sweetness! Highly recommend!! I find all their baked goods to be fantastic. Staff is fabulous too!

Chicken Pot Pie is not something one thinks of when at a bakery. However, their's is Fabulous! Worth the trip. And at only $6.50 each, it is a full and totally satisfying meal. Great crust, sauce and filling. Even the mention makes me hungry again. Yummy.

This place is awesome. I forgot to order a birthday cake for a co-worker and called them at 5:30pm the day before in a panic. The bakers had gone for the day but the nice man in the phone took my order and said they would do everything possible to get the cake done and ready for a 12 noon pick up. This gave them approximately 6 hours notice since the bakers would not get the order until 6am the next day. I called the next morning just to check and see if it was possible, like the nice man had told me to, and was told the cake was in the works and would be ready at 12 noon!! Thank you BreadWorks for saving the day!!!

The owner was extremely rude to me and he cut me off before I could finish my questions. Maybe if the owner was more welcoming to his customers I would come back. But I'm not giving them my business anymore.

Great bakery and even better mission

Seventeen varieties of excellent fresh-baked breads, yummy sweets--pies, cookies (check out their cookie of the month!), much more. Plus deli selections for your lunch. A destination store when I am in Charlottesville. In addition, as a division of WorkSource Enterprises they provide training and jobs for people with disabilities. Your stomach and your heart will feel great.

Their sandwiches and bake goods are extraordinary. Best of all are the friendly folks behind the counter!! Of course, you must try the cookies.

I love their sandwiches, but drop in to check out the baked goods. YUM! Always end up with bread and "a little something" for dessert. Friendly, helpful staff rounds out a great experience.

I’ve had their cookies, pastries, pies, and breads. All are very good, the monthly special cookies are unique. Prices are very reasonable, and the employees are helpful and attentive.

My favorite place to grab food in Charlottesville. Staff is beyond kind, and there are so many goodies to be had :) treat yourself to a nice day out— go by breadworks and then sit out in Washington Park for a few hours!

I had heard a lot about this place, and I was not disappointed! I tried their pecan tart and it was DELICIOUS with some coffee. It's a locally owned bakery, and they have excellent customer service! Their prices are also relatively cheaper than most places around the town. They also have many sandwich options for lunch. Very well known for catering to events and nearby businesses!
