Bringing in the C&O to cater our wedding last fall was one of the best decisions we made! Amy is a seasoned pro who worked tirelessly with the entire team to make the day seamless, and extraordinary. I work professionally in events, and her day-of staff is some of the best staff I've seen. The food was plated perfectly and felt like each guest was having a dining experience at a seat in the restaurant. Thank you C&O for making the day truly memorable!

Extraordinary dinner experience at C&O. The space itself is unique and inviting, a contemporary atmosphere in a historic building. Our server was knowledgeable, warm, and capable. The food was exceptional. We started with the bibb salad and scallops. The salad was fresh and flavorful and more than enough to share. The scallops were perfectly seared. I had the duck confit with ricotta gnocchi and it exceeded my expectations in every way. My friend enjoyed the lamb pastry. Neither of us left a crumb behind! We almost changed our dinner plans at the last minute, considering a more casual experience, but we both felt delighted that we stuck with our original instincts. I highly recommend C & O for a date night, or a night out with friends, family, or anyone who enjoys delicious food.

My Fiancé and I are NEVER disappointed with ANY DISH Here. This is the one restaurant EVER that I could just pick something on the menu and its just excellent. This is our Favorite place ever and we just love the kindness from staff, the atmosphere and especially the food. We definitely would like them to cater our wedding. This place is an absolute treasure and we will always love it.

Wow. Visiting from DC. Every dish was excellent and the atmosphere warm, cozy and full of character. Seriously good food. Recommend the beef carpaccio, crab cake, striploin steak and duck confit with gnocchi. Top notch. Also check out the bar downstairs.

What an awesome experience, from the moment we entered the historic and charming building, to the delectable meal, and final departure, it was a lovely evening. We were pleasantly served expertly prepared cocktails. The food was incredible. The bread was outstanding. The beet salad had just the right balance of acid and sweet, with a slight peppery spice and crunch. The savory duck confit and pillowy ricotta gnocchi was so very tasty. The blackened rockfish was expertly prepared, with just the right amount of heat. The homemade ice cream with huckleberry was creamy and delicious. Freshly brewed coffee and tea topped it off. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a super cool atmosphere. Expect us to return again and again. Thank you C & O for a fabulous meal!

Been coming here since 2013 when my daughter was a freshman at UVA. It’s such a a beautiful and romantic space. The brick walls downstairs make the room so cozy. The filet is delicious. I try to get here every time we visit charlottesville. The sticky toffee pudding is pretty amazing too.
Great place and people. Went here for drinks and though I don't have his name the bartender was very knowledgeable and accommodating to what my girlfriend was asking for. The atmosphere was very cozy. All in all a great experience and I will be going back.

I am so grateful to have found this gem of a restaurant. My husband and I came here for dinner,and let me tell you everything was delicious. We had the scallops, which were buttery and cooked perfectly, the hubby had the steak chinois -again cooked perfectly, and I had the new york strip and it was tender and delicious. The ambiance is romantic , service is stellar, and drinks were on point. We will definitely be back here. Oh, and order the sticky toffee pudding or the chocolate bread pudding. You won't regret it.
Pretty underwhelming. Potatoes were flavorless, cut of the steak wasn’t worth $54. The duck confit was good but extremely small portion for the price. I don’t mind small portions when the food is spectacular but it just left me wanting more. There’s tastier restaurants with much better value in Charlottesville.
