My husband and I decided that for 2026 we would try something new as often as possible. My husband took it upon himself to plan an amazing night in downtown Charlottesville to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing dinner! Everything and everyone from the beginning to the end was simply amazing. The food was simply delicious! You must try the homemade ice cream to die for!
We had the pleasure of coming off the waitlist for a table at our desired time. Our stop in Charlottesville en route from Buffalo ( read white outs and tons of snow) to our winter home in Hilton Head SC was planned according to weather; and a chance review online we knew this was our top choice for a NYE early dinner. And it didn't disappoint, in fact it was enhanced when the waiter told us that Dover Sole was one of the evening specials and well prepared it is a rare find...
Another wonderful early evening New Year's Eve dinner at the C&O. They prepared the filet of beef exquisitely and efficiently. Adequate wait time, not annoyingly slow. Xlent wine menu, including a Neal Rosenthal Sancerre. Mostly quiet except for one boisterous table for a 5:30 pm time slot. A minor inconvenience.
