We had a wonderful and perfect evening Saturday night. Already discussed booking for when we meet up in Charlottesville again in April. And requesting Dylan (Dillon?) again!!! We are two couples driving from Washington DC and Raleigh to spend the weekend together to catch up with each other. First time there. Plan to go again. Wish we had found this restaurant sooner. Everything was great from start to finish! Our table was ready for us as we entered the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation. It was busy, but the service was great! We had Old Fashioneds that were delicious, mussels as an appetizer, and she had the scallops, and I had the steak frites. Best meal we had while visiting Charlottesville hands down!
Nice place with friendly staff. The Som came over to chat, as we arrived early, which was a very nice touch. We shared mussels meuniere which weren't flavorful as those we've had in Belgium. Could hardly taste the garlic and wine and there was none of that nice minerality one expects. The accompanying focaccia was good. The scallops I ordered had none of the sweet tenderness that fresh scallops generally have. Nice presentation but marginal taste. My wife's steak...
