I walked in on my birthday hoping I could get some free pita chips (because they’re delicious), until my account wouldn’t scan. Billy, my cashier, made sure I got my pita chips anyways and I attribute my happiness on my birthday to him, the pita chips, and cava.
To start, I have allergies to fish/shellfish and to the alpha-gal protein found in mammals. Charlottesville is a town full of restaurants, but this is one of the five places I feel safe eating in. When I ordered yesterday the employee Aaron was changing his gloves before I told him I had allergies, he was helpful and really knew the menu, which made it easier. Instead of what is usually a slightly awkward conversation, he was helpful and easy to joke with, he had some food...
