El Tizon Rotisserie Chicken

Placed a takeout order and everything was great. The flauntas were very good, and the order of four was a generous portion. The al pastor pork tacos were tasty as well. The choriqueso dip was delicious, and the fresh churros were amazing. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I ordered two whole chickens, but one of them came with only drumsticks. The service was terrible. They seem to take advantage of customers who order online, and yet they still expect a tip as if they provided good service. Very disappointing.

Everything is perfectly cooked! Authentic! The rotisserie chicken is the best I’ve ever had! Charlottesville’s hidden gem for sure! We absolutely love coming here!

I Wanted Something New for Lunch, so I decided to Give this Place a Try after a Quick Google Maps search for “Tacos Near Me” 😂 This Place has almost a 5-Star Rating, so I figured it was Worth Checking Out.
I Ordered One Carne Asada Taco and One Chicken Taco, both on Corn Tortillas, with the Chipotle Crema and Tomatillo Green Sauce, plus a side of Poblano Rice.
The Food was Definitely Fresh and overall Good, but Personally I felt like it was Lacking a Little Flavor. Maybe a bit more Seasoning or Salt? The Steak was a Little Tough, but the Chicken was Vert Juicy and Very Tender, so that was a Plus.
The Sauces were a Little Bland to me too. The Chipotle Crema mostly Tasted like Sour Cream with just a Hint of a Smoky Chipotle Flavor, although the Spice was Definitely there haha 🌶(Not Spicy, Spicy, you could just feel the heat a little!) The green sauce was similar in the lacking flavor department, except this one didn't have spice to it lol
One thing I Really Liked was the Generous Amount of Meat in Each Taco, and the Complimentary Grilled Onion was a Fun Bonus!😄
The Corn Tortillas didn’t really Taste Homemade to me and were Thicker than the ones I’m used to getting from Mexican Food Trucks. The Poblano Rice probably would’ve been Good, but Unfortunately I’m one of Those People where Cilantro Tastes like Soap; and Cilantro Flavor was Very Present in this Rice. 😭😂
The Service was Great though, and the Staff was Friendly, which always makes a Difference. Maybe I just came on an Off Day, or Maybe I Picked the Wrong Items for my First Visit! 🤠

I got the El Tizon Special. The sandwich is huge and you get a lot for your money. Everything on the menu is delicious. It’s unique and unlike other Spanish food restaurants. Definitely check this place out.

I liked that this place was easy to find as we are from out of town. Recommended during an interview. I ordered the tacos and was not disappointed. The radish was unexpected but didn't take away from the dish. It it however did make it a little hard to grab and eat. I ended up cutting them in half which worked perfectly. Good flavor and balance of ingredients.
