Terrible! We have a two week old baby and toddler at home and ordered food at 11 in the morning online for 445 pickup. They hadn’t started our order when we got there at 5 then preceded to give us the wrong order. Will never be going back.

Every time I order food here I enjoy it. One of the best chinese take outs I have eaten from. As a non Cville native this is byfar better than what I have experienced outside of DC CTown. Get some lomein you will love it.

I get the luncheon specials at least 2x per week. Lots of choices, great food plus soup. Can’t go wrong. The dinner menu is large and prices very fair. Place is clean and owners friendly

There's another review on here that mentioned dumpling wrappers instead of Chinese pancakes. 20 November 2025 and the problem persists. No utensils either. Yeah I'll be a 1 time customer.

Outstanding Chinese food! Huge menu of choices; have never been disappointed. Always fast and friendly service. This is my stop for Lunch or dinner when going to Charlottesville.

Placed an order over the phone and went to pick up and supposedly my order didn’t exist . Waited an additional 25 minutes, No apology or explanation.

I ordered Moo Shu pork. It came with five pancakes, hoisin sauce and rice. The five pancakes were raw dumpling wrappers. They were horrible. It’s a shame because the actual Moo Shu pork was absolutely delicious. The rice was rice. It was good. I love sticky rice. That for $13 I would’ve liked a couple of pancakes. Probably will never go back again.

We had never tried this restaurant before, and decided to have dinner there last night. The restaurant was small, which is to be expected, since they do mostly take out orders. It was also very clean, which is a big plus. The service was great & the food was ready rather quickly. We have tried several Chinese restaurants in Charlottesville (and other areas), Hong Kong Restaurant is definitely at the top of our list for the best! The food was absolutely delicious & the portions were substantial. We had plenty leftover for a couple of days. The prices were some of the cheaper ones we have seen around town. This will definitely be our go-to for Chinese in the future.

In Charlottesville for a Dr appt and went insearch of a good sit down Chinese restaurant. Most everything is carryout. Found this little gem and was not disappointed. They do mostly arryout but have a half dozen tables. The food was EXCELLENT and very reasonably priced. If you're in the Charlottesville area, I highly recommend.
