Great little hole in the wall. Quick and friendly service. Got the bibimbap, it was fantastic. Great for a quiet lunch.

Had the takoyaki, miso ramen bowl, and lunch “special” bento tray. The takoyaki was delicious, but everything else was surprisingly bland. The miso ramen had no flavor and both the pork and egg were way over cooked. I didn’t even order the tonkatsu tray, I ordered spicy pork, but I try not to send things back, even though this lunch special was $18. The gyoza had hardly any filling and was again bland, California roll was meh, and the edamame wasn’t even salted. Somehow even the sauce and wasabi tasted watered down. On top of the food, the table was filthy, and my wife’s water cup had dirty bits floating in it. This place was much better 8 years ago, I won’t be returning unfortunately.

Rice is dry, edamame could be cooked 1 minute longer. Ramen bowls the thing to order here. 2 people came in but left after not being seated/greeted while we were eating so not sure what's going on here. Good for students though.

Used to go here back in the day. But it's not the same. The staff seemed unaware or not familiar with the menu. Even ordering and receiving a beer felt like a big ask.The food was okay. We split some sushi rolls. The atmosphere is depressing. Windows covered over with randam Japanese beer signs.

Cozy place to get some homemade ramen and sushi. They have fresh ingredients and are very inviting. Their prices are generic too.! Only thing ! Please when you eat here, don't leave your chopsticks stabbed in rice, and try to only order what you know you can finish. If you can't, THEY HAVE TO GO BOXES AND CUPS!!Please college goers, stop wasting perfectly good food! I was so saddened after a loud group left and wasted many sushi rolls torn apart, not eaten!!! Sushi is very hard to prepare and make! Be respectful! (I am just a local)

Food was tasty so I gave one star. Place was clean so I gave another star. Other than that, they don't deserve any more stars. My friend and I were there for more than one hour. Not once did they smile at us or other customers, always frowning or looking uninterested in providing service. Ordered spicy seafood udon soup. It was flavourful but seafood included was pathetic and very very small in size ... there was only one medium size shrimp, two small squid rings, two small pieces of octopus tentacles and three small pieces of mussels with a very generous amount of cabbage and onions ?? That one dish cost me almost $20 after tax and tip! As much as I want to support Small Business owners and neighborhood restaurants like this one, I WILL NOT be back because I could have gone to Panda Express for cheaper food and most importantly better service!!!

The spider roll and shrimp tempura roll were exactly the same...no soft shell crab. We brought this up when we got the bill and the server just ignored the comments. No ramakins for soy sauce delivered.

We were looking forward to some good sushi & sashimi. We were disappointed. The sashimi was frozen. The rice in the sushi rolls had been refrigerated overnight so it had that tell tale slightly dry crunch of sushi rice that had not be served fresh. The rolls had more “filler” cucumber etc. than fish. The service was, at best, to be kind, basic. Most of the time there were no service staff in the room. The ambiance: college threadbare. No need to return.

Uva area is always packed with good places to eat but i wasnt really in the mood to wait in long lines and I just wanted a quick bite to eat. As I was walking around I found this place. I didn't know the hours and it was close to kitchen shut down hours I asked the person working the front if they had time to prepare a bimbimbop. I was told 15 minutes and the bimbimbop tasted just like my grandmom used to make it so I was very satisfied with my dish. I will be coming back

This restaurant was an absolute disaster – a tasteless abyss that managed to make cardboard seem gourmet. Not only did they completely butcher any chance of authentic Korean flavors, but it's almost as if they were on a mission to redefine the concept of "bad food." They must have taken a crash course in culinary catastrophe, because every dish tasted like a failed science experiment. And the prices? Well, they were so inflated that I half expected the bill to come with a laughing emoji. Let's just say, if this place were a contestant on a cooking show, it would be promptly asked to pack its knives and go – preferably far, far away from any unsuspecting taste buds.

Ramen is kinda bland. Asking for pepper and was told additional charge required.*****Below is the updated review:We walked in and no one was at the front desk so we sat ourselves down at the table that’s by the entrance. The waitress showed up 10 mins later and made us feel like we did something wrong. She gave a lecture that we should ring the door bell. And she moved us to another greasy sticky table in the back of the restaurant. The whole time she had this bad attitude when we ordered, when we asked questions about their menu. I guess she didn’t enjoy working there and probably had a bad day or two.Ramen was mediocre. Salmon roll was at room temperature, sushi rice was dried out and tasted like last nights left over. gross. And then this response to my initial review that tells me to head elsewhere is downright disrespectful. Then you had the audacity to ask for 20% service fee? You deserve none.I Will reach out to my bank and charge back. You were right. Not the right place, and you pissed the wrong person. Your poor handling of raw seafood is being reported. The VA Health department will be in touch with you regarding the following:Cross-contamination.Food temperature.Poor personal hygiene.Improper storage of food.Inadequate kitchen sanitation.Time to pick up the slack!

Food is fine, but not worth dealing with the terrible, rude service. Girl had such a bad "can't be bothered" attitude until the check came around - smiled brightly with a cheery "you better tip me well" look in her eye. Ordered ramen. Broth was sub-par borderline too salty. Sushi was average, but probably decent to Charlottesville standards. Can't say I'll be back.

Pricy and gas station quality. Noodles were also meh. The definition of schmediocre.
