I am a very big fan of this new location, seeing how close it is to my house (like 4 minutes). The owner is SO nice and gracious, too. The cheese and pupusas were my favorite selection, but the al pastor tacos also really hit the spot. The margaritas were STRONG, which is not a complaint! All in all, a very welcome addition to the 29 north community.
Delicious authentic gorditas. Highly recommend. The margarita was good and strong, with a fat slice of lime, and happily not the electric green color you get at some restaurants. Very nice staff. Please try this place out--we need a good Mexican restaurant on the north end of town!

Like Chinese places, there's so many Mexican places that have almost an eerie similarity. Pick one and you almost know what to expect, right down to the placemats. La Michoacana is different. The name, when translated to english, means "La Michoacana" (an entertaining insight care of Google translate ).
