It is a very small place but offers authentic Mexican salvadarion food. It's self-service with a quick turnaround of food once we place the order. They have authentic dessert options as well. They have one of the best Veg fajitas . We ordered shrimp birria, which was also very good. They have a salsa bar to pick from for spice lovers! Don't judge the place by its looks of it as you will miss the best El salvadorian food in town !

Super fast service and delicious food!
Where you have seen that pozole has cilantro and tortillas and its tacos are too salty, Mexican pozole has lettuce and radishes and tortilla chips or toast.
Absolutely recommend this little gem in Charlottesville. I love a family owned / mom n pop establishment.
The food was incredibly fresh and tasty and filling. The prices may be a little higher than traditional taco places but the quality and quantity make up for it, no complaints.
I loved the variety of hot sauce choices, very reminiscent of what you would get in Mexico City, Mexico.
Everything was good from the tacos to the soup! Find it hard to believe that a true Mexican food connoisseur would not agree!
Go and check it out and enjoy!

Great authentic Mexican in town. We were visiting from another state and food was delicious. We were recommended Mexican tacos and both marinated chicken and marinated steak were delicious.

Without a doubt, hands down the best tacos in town! The fresh chicharrones with guacamole (ask for extra lime wedges to make those taste buds dance just a little more) are also worth the drive alone.
Try the tripe taco(s) for a pleasant surprise outside of the ordinary. Also, if you're a fan of capsaicin, ask about their two muy picante sauces that are sure to have you sweating in a good way. Super friendly family owned business that I highly recommend.
My only complaint is that apparently my bathroom scale and this place don't get along very well. Oh well! Clearly worth the extra sweat equity.

This is hands-down the best taco spot in Charlottesville! The marinated chicken breast (on the right) is so flavorful and juicy. The habenero marinated pork (on the left) is fantastic and has a great spice level. Guacamole is super smooth and very fresh. The salsa bar is also a nice feature. The service is very quick. I highly recommend you try it out!

The atmosphere is not fancy. Staff was friendly and food was very, very good. Prices are reasonable. Overall a great experience as long as you don't expect a super nice atmosphere.
Kid-friendliness: Well-priced and well-sized kid options.

The food is wonderful, come and try it for yourself. I’ve thought long and hard about this review, and decided to share my experiences nonetheless. I came in and ordered the orden tacos and soup + the chicharron.
It was my first time trying the chicharron, I wasn’t expecting it to be as hard as it was. I must have swallowed a piece and started choking, and couldn’t stop or breathe. The restaurant is a small-ish space, I was right in front of the guy that took my order and he stayed on his phone the entire time. I literally couldn’t breathe, let alone ask for water. I eventually decided staying inside wasn’t the best idea, and limped over to their outside dining space where it took me a while to hack up what was blocking my airway then make my way over to the car for something to drink. This guy was a savage, never looked up, not one time.
On top of that, they gave me someone else’s order. I think that was the icing on top and the catalyst for leaving my review. I called the restaurant back and they issued me a refund for the incorrect items, I also did in fact finish the bag of chicharrons once I knew what I was getting myself into. When all is said and done, I won’t be back for a while. Y’all are too savage for me.
