We were excited to finally try this place — getting our 3-month-old infant and my 80+ year-old parents out for dinner is no small task. Since my parents are vegetarian, pizza is usually the easiest and safest option for everyone.
Unfortunately, the night went downhill fast. From the moment we sat down, we were met with a dismissive, condescending attitude from both the waitress and the owner. They flat-out refused to make a simple veggie pizza. You can remove toppings from their preset pizzas, but you can’t add vegetables to a plain cheese pizza. When we politely asked if they could make an exception, the answer was a curt, inflexible “no.” The waitress also refused to split our bill.
What bothered me most wasn’t just the inflexibility — it was how little they cared. I’ve always rooted for small businesses, and nearly all of my reviews are positive. It takes a lot for me to write a negative one. But the owner and waitress showed no interest whatsoever that we had managed to get three generations of our family together and had chosen their restaurant for the occasion.
After we left, my elderly parents were too tired to go anywhere else, so we ended up eating takeout at home. What should have been a rare and special family night out was completely ruined.
If you have vegetarian family members or loved ones with dietary restrictions, this place will not accommodate you.
More importantly, if you believe customers deserve even basic courtesy and respect, spend your time and money somewhere else. Dining out should feel welcoming and enjoyable, not like you’re being tolerated. There are plenty of restaurants that will work with you, appreciate your business, and treat you with kindness — support them. Don’t reward a place that treats its customers as if they’re beneath them.

We ordered 5 pizzas last Sunday night for a quick take out dinner before our family had to leave town. For about $100, so not worth the cold pizzas with limited toppings on all mushroom, and caprese. We won’t be back. Maybe Sunday is an off night, if so just close.

I was visiting from out of town and heard of this place through a local.
What an absolute disappointment. The service was horrible. Our server sat us, we ordered food and drinks, then after apps had been brought out.. we were literally forgotten about. We only ordered ONE pizza. One. The pizza came out nearly an hour and fifteen minutes later. Not once did anyone bother to check in on us or let us know what was going on.. we tried our best to be patient and wanted to know what was going on but our server was super avoidant. Yes, it was busy for a weekend evening but the restaurant is super small. She could have checked in once within the 1+ hr wait. To make matters worse, the table next to us got seated nearly 40 min after us and received their food BEFORE ours?! Overall, everything was so inconsistent. The food was both burnt on the ends and soggy in the middle - everything fell apart. The manager spoke with us after because we were so unhappy and she never once apologized or took ownership for the situation. Turns out they were training a new chef which makes sense but some communication would have been helpful to prevent this whole ordeal. Safe to say we will definitely NOT be returning and will not recommend this place. Save your time, energy and money.

I wanted to like this place better. The pizza itself - the Margherita was good - but the service! They clearly forgot about us, serving at least two other tables that were seated after us. Only when we asked if they could cancel the order they remembered us. Turns out, they did it to another table and when that gentlemen asked to see the manager outside, he was told it was only 30 minutes wait. Dude, we have watches, too. If you make a mistake, own it. Stuff happens. Won’t be back. Also insulted by the mandatory 18% gratuity they put on our table for 2. They e clearly bought into their own hype.

Lampo continues to knock it out of the park with bold flavors and perfectly balanced dishes that make you rethink what casual Italian should taste like. The Caesar salad with white anchovy was a standout right from the start—unexpectedly bright and punchy without any overpowering fishiness. The anchovy added a salty, umami depth that worked in perfect harmony with the tangy Caesar dressing.
The porchetta sandwich? Unreal. Rich, herbaceous, and deeply satisfying, especially when you drizzle on their house hot sauce. It’s the kind of sandwich you crave again the moment you finish it.
Their Margherita pizza came out hot, fresh, and steamy—the dough chewy and blistered in all the right places, the tomato and cheese combo comforting and classic. Simple, but absolutely worth every bite.
But the sleeper hit of the night was the Pauline Gee pizza. This one had attitude. The spicy salami and sweet honey made for an addictive sweet-spicy combo, and the oiliness gave it that indulgent edge without going overboard. Spunky, rich, and wildly satisfying.
Lampo isn’t just a pizza spot—it’s a whole flavor experience.

The menu has wonderful descriptions of the food, but when served the reality is rather disappointing. Crust is an oily soggy mess with a bland sauce, the cheese is in semi melted blobs, outer crust edge is good. The sandwich ordered was supremely disappointing! Basically cold meat and a cold slice of cheese on a piece of flat bread, a let down after reading the high-falutin menu description.
