First time in Charlottesville and we were fortunate to pick Mockingbird for dinner. The food was excellent and creative, and the staff was great on a very busy Friday night. The vegetable pot pie is a don’t miss treat.
OLIVIA was a great waitress/bartender. She couldnt have been any nicer! Drinks were great, food was phenomenal! Will be back again! Got the fried green tomatoes, crab dip, the bison steak and the vegetarian pot pie. And the banana pudding to take home.
Mockingbird inhabits a beautiful 100+ year old building nestled in Belmont, Charlottesville. Belmont is perhaps the preeminent restaurant district of the city. Quintessential “old Charlottesville”, Belmont has often been a revolving door of restaurants. Mockingbird, I believe and hope, is here to stay. Mockingbird doesn’t reinvent the wheel.
