Mudhouse Coffee Roasters is such a gem in Charlottesville. The coffee is always rich, smooth, and full of flavor—you can tell they really care about quality. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in town!
The espresso drinks here are some of my favorite tasting of the city, and I love coming here to sip and sit on the downtown mall. However some of the baristas are very socially awkward/often rude. It’s an everyday occurrence and not a one-off. When it’s super busy it’s one thing, but it really doesn’t take much to greet or return a greeting of your customers. Or how about simply not glaring with blank stares or one word responses? When I start to feel awkward coming in...
A few friends and I stopped by here to get some work done before an evening concert. This was a great place to post up, they have fast wifi, lots of seating, and easily accessible outlets. They also have lots of natural light. The coffee was great tasting as well, though I felt they added a bit too much ice.
