This is a tapas type restaurant. The waiter explained that the items on the menu are meant to be shared and that the food comes out as it is made up. Therefore some on the vegetables came out one at a time as well as the entrees. The portions for the entrees were big enough for two people and the vegetables were shared among 4 people. Going there as a group allows you to get almost all the things on the menu.
This restaurant consistently ranks top three for me for all restaurants in the Charlottesville area. Their cocktails are incredible, each dish is absolutely perfect (I recommend their shaved salad, the roasted carrots, they’re fried chicken, and it might not sound fancy, but their pizza as well).

Oakhart Social is one of the most consistently delicious and high quality dining experiences in Charlottesville (and in general). We have been dining there over a decade and always have a exceptional meal. There are dishes that we always get (charred carrots and the whole fried fish) and look forward to picking new dishes to try.
