I've been buying fish from Seafood@Westmain since they opened 10 or more years ago. Their seafood is the freshest in Charlottesville. I like to support local businesses and this one is well worth it. The Seafood guys will cut exactly the amount of fish I need.

Freshest seafood in Charlottesville bar none. Fresher than Whole Foods and better prices as well. Been shopping there almost 10 years and have never had a bad experience, not one. There's a reason so many restaurants buy from them, their stuff is is just better. My favorites: if you want a real treat, their sea scallops are truly amazing ... they don't come dry packed in a can like the ones from WF's and I promise you'll taste the difference. In season, their crab meat is excellent too - indulge yourself once. Local Oysters are also up there ... I shuck my own but I think they'll do it as well. But everything basic is good too. There's a reason it doesn't smell fishy when you walk in there, it's all fresh and of high quality.
