A truly distinct dining experience awaits you in Charlottesville. This gem offers a taste of Cajun NOLA culture, featuring an incredible outdoor patio that stands out in the area, all while exuding a welcoming atmosphere thanks to the wonderful family that runs it.
Had dinner from here and was not impressed. The highs: the ham biscuits and hush puppies were excellent. OK - the red beans and rice. The shrimp po boy and muffuletta were decidedly uninspired. The shrimp was well cooked, but the sandwich was drenched in remoulade, making it a soggy, unappetizing mess and the muffuletta was very, very oily.
I'd eat those ham biscuits again, but the rest left me decidedly disappointed.

We just moved down the street from this place and figured we'd try it out since it's by far the most affordable we've found in Belmont. Great atmosphere, good service, good portion sizes, and the gator po boy was REALLY good. The Cajun fries side is absolutely worth 6 bucks, by the way. Everything is clearly made fresh and the owners clearly care about the place. Would absolutely recommend.
