Food was spectacular. Ambience was great. Our waiter was very distracted and we had to have another staff member clear our table, which was a bit frustrating. Overall though we really loved it there and look forward to coming back again, but would ask for a different waiter.

Legitimately the best Japanese style cuisine in the area. High end cocktails, fresh sushi, other fine dining cuisine. Staff is professional and provide excellent service. Highly recommend for small or large groups. Have had group events here and the team was accommodating and friendly.

The restaurant was extremely dark. Hard to see the menu and the food you were eating. Many of the sushi rolls had the same ingredients so it was challenging to find variety and the rolls had too much rice. The kitchen was extremely backed up. It took over an hour from the time we finished our appetizers to get 4 sushi rolls.

Usually Ten is fantastic but Saturday night they seemed to be running very slow and honestly the quality of the sushi and sashimi plate that we ordered was not the quality that we are used to from them. Will definitely give them another shot because they have been good in the past, but this experience was not the norm.

There is sushi and then there is Sushi. This is without doubt, the only Sushi in Charlottesville; conveniently located on the Downtown Mall. The Chef is meticulous in his procurement, prep and assembly of his Sushi and the other assorted items on the menu. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, sensitive to allergies and will immediately fix any problem should one arise. Ten is an upscale, but casual establishment, and the prices reflect that. So if you are looking for something else there are many other good sushi places in Charlottesville but TEN has the finest sushi, sashimi and service in Charlottesville for sure!

A few MUST tries: Espresso Martini (it's so creamy and one of the best in town!), the Wagyu Beef Roll (get ready to be addicted!), Tori Trio, and the Lobster Tempura!

This place was fantastic! Truly some of the most delicious sushi I've ever had. Also to mention, the mochi ice cream and my cocktail were fabulous. The atmosphere was elevated but comfortable. The service was a little slow but our server was excellent. Would absolutely recommend this spot!

Amazing service and really fabulous food! The monkfish liver a bit of a miss, but everything else delicious. Highly recommend the dragon roll, the wasabi roll, the ten hamachi, and the oh-toro sashimi. Oh, and the salmon roe with a quail egg--sushi style, not sashimi, but don't forget the quail egg!

The vibes were great inside the restaurant. Very tastefully decorated and the lighting is very fun. We went at a busy time so it was pretty loud. Ordered an appetizer that never ended up coming. We chose 4 sushi rolls: the Stella Blue Crab was our favorite, though a passing waiter noticed it wasn’t finished yet so he whisked it away to get completely made before returning it to us. The other rolls were fine.
