We rented this space for a public event. The facility was spacious, clean and had plenty of light/ electrical outlets.
It was a little expensive compared to similar venues, however everything was in order.
Really good coffee and lots of space to seat and work. One of our favorites in Cville.
You need a proper restaurant! It's a really cool location and setting. There was nowhere to eat though. Had to go to IX. Someone should try a soft in, like a food truck. Or a couple of food trucks.
Love the location and setting!
Great coffee with low cost. The work space is nice and spacious for remote workers. A great space to work and catch up with friends

My husband and I tied the knot at The Wool Factory on June 19, 2024. After reflecting on our experience, we felt compelled to share our feedback.
Choosing The Wool Factory for its industrial ambiance and Broadcloth restaurant space seemed ideal. However, we encountered some challenges with communication and coordination during the walkthrough, rehearsal, and on our wedding day. Reflecting on our wedding experience at The Wool Factory, we have some feedback that we believe would be valuable for both the venue and future visitors.
Despite prior discussions with the onsite planner, Danielle, regarding a temporary holding space for the bridal party, we faced unexpected issues on the actual wedding day. It became clear that there was a misunderstanding about the use of the Main Hall West as a temporary holding area for the bridal party’s processional. This miscommunication, unfortunately, led to a less than ideal start to our ceremony. Members of our bridal party which included seniors were told that the holding space near the exit door of Main Hall West could not be utilized as “the space was not paid for.” This message was delivered by the on-site planner through a third party. It was done in poor taste and even felt a bit spiteful after having rehearsed from the space on two occasions.
We also encountered a shortage of chairs (keeping in mind that we were told that we would have access to 40 bentwood chairs), leading to some guests standing during the ceremony which was unexpected and unacceptable especially given the heat index. The absence of the planner and unexpected space restrictions added to the challenges. Furthermore, external noise from onsite workers disrupted the solemnity of the ceremony.
On a positive note, we were pleased with the exceptional service provided by the Broadcloth Restaurant staff during the reception.
In the spirit of constructive feedback, we would like to advise future visitors to The Wool Factory to carefully review all details of their agreements and thoroughly check their invoices for any potential hidden fees or last-minute upcharges. Written agreements on arrangements could help prevent misunderstandings in the future.
Our overall experience at The Wool Factory was a mix of good and challenging moments. While the venue and food were commendable, there were significant gaps in customer service. We hope this review fosters transparency and encourages improved service standards. The venue and food were commendable, but we believe there is room for improvement in customer service and communication.
We have had multiple weddings here and the team is wonderful. They are flexible, understanding, and very hard working. Great parking, amazing food. The venue was a modern and cozy vibe. Beautiful getting ready space. We cannot wait to be back.
This place is so unique with a great touch of vintage charm! We always hear great things from our brides that pick this venue!
We ate at Broadcloth. It was excellent! The four of us each had the four-course selection. Scallops, pork confit, spinalis dorsi tartare, rib-eye, and dark chocolate crémeux were all to die for. Service was also top notch. Other places in C-ville should take lessons from this place.
I live down the street this is my go to for my outdoorOffice my coffee my hiking my dog walking g for beauty for huge windows to sit behind during winter days

Amazing! Absolutely loved this place. Super delicious food, delightful atmosphere and great people.
Very strange place. Due to it being billed as an "events locale" it's either completely abandoned or it's so exclusively busy with private events that locals who just want to come and enjoy the environment, grab a drink and get something to eat either cannot or are made to feel so uncomfortable while a private event is happening nearby that it is an unpleasant experience. Further, why in the world does the restaurant only open Thursday through Saturday? That seems like an entire waste. The wine place is small. It's nicer now that they've added a few seats, but literally it's a few seats. I think maybe four or five people max can fit in there. And of course they've moved away their mid price eating brewery option. I mean this place? may be great for corporate events, but as far as enhancing the local community, It's just not worth it
Just an amazing place, very relaxing atmosphere. It’s nicer and summertime, but still worth a visit during wintertime! We always went to the café, and that was always great. I really like the shop and the wine selection is good too. Needless to say you have to visit if you’re in Charlottesville!
We held our holiday party at the Broadcloth and it was wonderful. The food spread was great - they offered great alternatives for those with dietary restrictions. The event staff was professional, kind, and stayed on top of restocking the food.
