Ordered biscuit sandwiches. They were falling apart to the point I couldn’t even pick it up to eat it. Asked if the grits were cheesy. They said they could make them cheesy. This meant a cold piece of cheese that halfway melted set on top. This is not cheesy grits. This is very unappealing. Expressed our displeasure, still charged for the misrepresented ‘cheesy grits’. Service was quick.

Had a doctor's appointment and stopped in for a late breakfast. Host=not friendly, hardly spoke, threw menus down, walked away. Server=knew instantly she didnt like us; you know unconscious bias. Food=bland, no flavor. Overheard other exchanges with a more upbeat, positive interaction. Thoughts...wondering if they cater to locals. We had omelets, advertised as fluffy=flat, no flavor, home fries, sprinkled with red (paprika??),l onions, so so. Bacon =no flavor, tiny/small. Ill have several more appointments but will go elsewhere.

Starting the day with a full slate of adventures means you’ve got to get fueled, and this place was a fantastic find. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was how incredibly well the operation runs. They have it down to a science, getting people in and out efficiently without ever making you feel rushed.
The service was warm, attentive, and seamless from start to finish. It’s no surprise to see so many awards lining the walls. A western omelet and an order of biscuits and gravy both hit the spot and were exactly what we needed to kick off the day.
An outstanding breakfast stop and absolutely worth checking out.

Saw this diner on the way to I-Hop and made a split second decision to pull a U-Turn, best decision of my life! I got the Blueberry pancakes and was pleasantly surprised, not many places manage to make a good blueberry pancake but this place nailed it! The service was extremely friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and parking was simple! I’m not in Harrisonburg often but this will certainly be on my must eat list whenever I find myself in the area!

good food, good portions, good people. expect to wait in line to be served.
No-frills American diner after my own heart. Went here for breakfast and piled the table with waffles, biscuits and gravy, grits, pancakes, french toast, sausage, bacon, eggs… and of course lots of drip coffee. Waitress was great even though the place was slammed. Would definitely come back here for some classic southern charm.

I frequented Tip Top many years ago when my parents lived at a Lake Monticello between 1989-2015 and I visited them from New Jersey. Yesterday was my first time returning since then and nothing has changed which made me very happy. The food was just as good and the service was excellent.
