first time and will probably be the last, we are folks who enjoy finding location places (doesn't matter the style or what they are servicing ... meaning like BBQ or burgers, or chicken, just has to be good and makes you wish to go again) that are yummy good to eat. we took it to go and ate it at a location park, decent view. the chicken was not tough, it was super tender, warm out of the takeout container (hush puppies which was the best of all the items we got, the slaw was lacking as well, i was hoping for so much better, it is a neat location, not easy in easy out though, u do have to wait for the traffic, so that was kind of a letdown after it being kind of blah blah blah) and okay. but there was no flavor. guess u could add some hot sauce or something on the side, but that is not what you should have to do, the meat should be delicious. kind of like when u buy BBQ ... you should not need the sauce, the meat needs to stand on it's own, by itself. i am not looking for hot or spicy. just some flavor. my grandma Ruby would always cook chicken for Sunday dinner, i miss those days, good chicken, beans, other sides and great peach cobbler. but no 1 can even come close. sad.

Didnt have time to snap a photo because we INHALED everything. The chicken was perfect, the potato wedges were crispy and delicious, the coleslaw slapped. I could go on 🤤🤤🤤

The best fried chicken I have had 👍. I’ve had fried chicken in many states popular for their style of fried chicken but this place takes the trophy. Very friendly staff though the place needs some renovation. Highly recommend it.

I ordered the fish dinner which came with cod and your choice of three sides (I chose the Mac and cheese potato salad, and beans, a order of fried shrimp with tarter sauce and the 3 piece chicken dinner with wedge potatoes, and collards. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the food was nice and fresh, the chicken, fish and potato wedges were good and crispy. The potato salad was okay but probably the second best side, after the potatoe wedges. The cod fish were really small and didn’t have any flavor. The Mac and cheese taste like a store brand and the food overall was tasteless. The chicken taste a little seasoned (with salt). The food is affordable but I would not recommend.

I would have all 5 stars but I came inside to place my order asked the lady at the counter that I’d like a 3piece meal just no leg. I should’ve checked the plate before I drove back to work. To my disappointment I had a leg in the box. Everything else was just wished the chicken was more on the hot side. The fish piece was fresh out the grease. I’ll be back again soon to try it out again.

I stopped in And Got 1 piece of fish and a side of Collard greens and Mac-n-cheese,I asked what kind of Fish and she said Cod. And when I got home I couldn't believe what I saw 😠 For the Price this is Past frustrating..it was Burned and looks like the fish sticks you buy from the Grocery store...I used to think a lot about this Place.

Ordered Wayside by DoorDash. It was eh. I think the chicken wasn’t fried enough for me and the macaroni had no flavor nor cheese.

The best thing was the roll!

Everything here is amazing especially the breakfast biscuits. And the food is so cheap. I highly recommend

Had a not so good experience with staff and other customers, definitely a far cry from the Wayside from my childhood.
