Had a not so good experience with staff and other customers, definitely a far cry from the Wayside from my childhood.

Typically, I don't order fried chicken but was told I had to get it from here. The chicken was good, as were the baked beans and slaw.

My mistake was ordering fish at a chicken joint. The fish had absolutely NO seasoning! Very bland. The fries were lacking in flavor too. Tasted almost stale. I don't eat coleslaw so I can't comment on that.
The young lady at the cash register looked like she hated being there. Not a smile throughout the experience.

Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is good. My favorite is sausage gravy on biscuit with a scrambled egg. Oh and the French toast is worth a trip .

We come here for the fried chicken ( which comes with rolls ), hush puppies, baked beans, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. We order ahead. The food is always yummy. As soon as you go inside look to your right. They have delicious cheesecake as well as other yummy desserts.

The name has changed over the years but this is a staple in the Fry Springs area - been there for many decades and still going strong. Great fry chicken, sides and sandwiches. Limited seating and it's always crowded. Often folks are waiting to get in when it opens. Fast service, reasonably priced good food.

Vegetarian options: This is southern comfort food at best but you can get some tasty sides such as mac and cheese, potato wedges that are excellent that could be paired with other foods. So vegetarian only dining in maybe not.

Parking: A small parking lot shared with at 2 or 3 other businesses plus the stores are always busy. The parking lot can be tight at busy times but don't let that stop you from a tasty meal!

Wheelchair accessibility: Small restaurant with limited seating, wheelchair accessible is probably not easy but don't let that deter you from take away.

Stop by Saturday evening after work, rush was crazy, wait almost an hour, got home order still wasn't correct, no thighs at all, got 4 monsters sizes breast that we couldn't even eat,went to trash,either of us eat breast and we requested thighs instead and the cashier said if I could wait for 20min than I could get it, said ok but instead no thighs ?was near the last order#300 went out the door and still wasn't correct. Be a long time again before I pay my money for something else that I didn't even get. 4 Gigantic size chicken breast in an 8piece meal?

This place is rated highly by many. I tried it for the first time. Chicken is decent but not spectacular. Mashed potatoes were poor. Service was okay. Prices were reasonable. Don't avoid but don't make a special trip.
