Golden Skillet is delicious in every way possible. The chicken is crispy with a great flavor, and the hush puppies are divine. The mashed potatoes and gravy are yummy yummy. We stop by every time we head into NC and it never disappoints.
Great food on the fly. I'm surprised to see one still open. So I had to stop by and get some crispy chicken. The servers were excellent and had the food out quick! Tip: Tell them to go easy on the gravy. Half my mashed potato bowl was gravy.
It was my first visit here. Clients in Lynchburg recommended that I make a pitstop here in Chatham on my way back home. I knew I was in for a surprise when even the nice ladies working at the gas station next door gave a rousing endorsement for the fried chicken! They weren’t kidding!
