This is seriously my favorite restaurant in Hampton Roads. Every time anyone suggests Mexican food, there's no question as to where we'll go. They have the best food and the best service. There are many options for vegetarians and vegans as well.
The food at El Puente Mexican restaurant is ok. If you are in the area and want to visit, do so, but you will not be overwhelmed. We order tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas which were decent. The sauce on the flautas wasn't that good, but I've had better. The prices in this restaurant are reasonable and the staff is quite responsive & attentive. Large parties are welcome, as a large one was celebrating a birthday bash. Overall, El Puente is ok.
It is truly a family friendly restaurant that makes you feel welcomed and provides expeditiously fast service. The managers walks around to each table to ensure the food is up-to-par. The drinks are is amazing, the food is fresh and authentic. Definitely this best experience since leaving Texas.
