There is no other sushi place that I have eaten at more times than Hanaki. This place is fantastic. It's very small and the wait staff is extremely friendly. The service is always great and the wait times are short. All of the fish is fresh and he typically keeps a really nice cut of Toro on hand. I've had nearly everything they offer. Hamachi Kama is a favorite, but order it immediately when you get there as it takes a while to prepare. Their sushi and sashimi platters...
I stopped in for lunch on a whim because I was in this part of town. What a pleasant surprise! It looked like any other restaurant in a strip mall but as soon as I walked in the darker lighting and staff felt a cut above the rest.
I ordered a salmon roll, tuna roll and one piece of toro and everything was fantastic. The staff were amazing and the sushi was perfect. I'll definitely be back if I'm in this part of Chesapeake again.

Had such a great experience at this Japanese restaurant a couple of weeks ago! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was just as amazing.Staffs were welcoming and attentive. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had recently.
