I almost hate to leave this review because I want to keep this local Japanese restaurant all to myself! I lived in Japan for 4.5 years and have traveled back at least 12 times over the past years. Inaka Sushi is the best Japanese food we have experienced in the U.S. and the service is personable, not to mention fast. It’s our go to place for eating out.

I picked up my steak hibachi and the lady was so friendly. However, the steak was over cooked and tough and the rice had no flavor. This was my first time eating from there.

Food was not good. Chicken was burnt. Fried rice wasn’t even your normal fried rice. Spent $51 for an extremely small portion of hibachi. Do not recommend.

Been searching for a good sushi spot in the area, and this is the one! Everything is soo so good and fresh. Love this place.

We were looking for really great sushi in Chesapeake and found it here. They even brought our pickup order to my doctor's office when I waited an hour past my appointment time to be seen, great people.

We got two steak hibachis, two different sushi rolls, and a gyoza. The food was not great besides the sushi. The hibachi isn’t a table cooked one and was very disappointing taste wise. The service was awful. $100 later and I’m pissed because I didn’t get good quality food or service.

Exceptional service, very fresh sushi, rest of the food we tried was delicious. Staff was very sweet and treated us well to celebrate a birthday. We will definitely be back!
They have the best volcano roll in VB or Chesapeake. The food was so good it put me into sushi nirvava!

I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and had a sushi platter that perfectly captured what I look for in a reliable sushi spot: freshness, balance, and thoughtful presentation.
The nigiri selection was the highlight. The fish tasted clean and fresh, with a smooth texture and just the right thickness over lightly seasoned rice. The tuna and yellowtail were especially tender, while the shrimp and eel offered a nice contrast in flavor and texture.
The warm table setting and cozy lighting gave the space a relaxed, neighborhood feel. Service was great too!
