Super authentic Thai food cooked by wonderful Thai grandma‘s. We had the SomTom salad, which was excellent; the cashew chicken, which was also excellent and wonderfully spiced, the pad Thai, which was also great and the Tom Yum shrimp soup, which was wonderfully seasoned. This is the only place I’m going for Thai food in Chesapeake.
A friend and I stopped in for lunch on 2/23. Neither of us had been before, and both of us were happily surprised. We ordered golden tofu, green papaya salad, and cashew stir fry with shrimp. All the vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, the salad equally fresh, crisp, and flavorful, and the tofu and peanut sauce were as good as I've ever had. If I lived closer it would be a regular stop for me.
My absolute FAVORITE Thai restaurant in Hampton Roads. We do both dine-in and carry-out orders and the food is always delicious and hot, with HUGE portions. Servers are always kind and attentive.
I LOVE spicy food - and Jasmine Thai takes their spice level seriously. Three out of five spice stars is about as hot as I can tolerate - be warned!!
