Johnson's BBQ Reviews
We had your ribs at the RibFest in Elkhorn Wisconsin. We waited in line for about 45 minutes, which we didn't mind doing expecting excellent ribs. We were very disappointed. the ribs were tough and chewy, and rare at the bone. We couldn't eat them because we didn't feel that eating raw pork was safe. I thought about going back up to the booth to complain, but you were really busy, and your staff was super friendly, so we just considered it a waste of $32. Johnson's BBQ is a local, veteran-owned restaurant known for its delicious barbeque. The menu offers a variety of options, with one reviewer recommending the full slab of ribs that never disappoints. The restaurant has been a long-time favorite for some customers. A newcomer to Virginia mentioned that Johnson's BBQ serves the best barbeque they've had in a while, with particularly good pit-smoked pork ribs. The sides, including collard greens, potato salad, and the incredible Mac and cheese, were described as good, but the serving sizes were a bit small. The dining area was described as cozy and clean, although it can be a bit cramped. The staff was praised for their pleasant demeanor and top-notch customer service. Johnson's BBQ also participates in rib competitions across the United States, including the Pittsburgh Rib Fest and Elkhorn Ribfest. The restaurant's ribs were described as large and meaty, sometimes tough and chewy, but also fall-off-the-bone with smack-you-with-flavor sauce. The sauce was found to be satisfactory. Overall, Johnson's BBQ is a great option for anyone looking for delicious barbeque in a friendly atmosphere, and well worth the price. Keep in mind it's cash only.
