A very friendly local bar with great food. Our neighbors had bragged on it previously, so we finally got around to giving it a try with them. Our neighbors opted for a burger with fries and a French dip with house made chips. My wife had a bacon cheeseburger with chips and I got the Reuben with chips and a basket of fried okra as an appetizer for the table. Our waitress, Annette, and her co-workers were very attentive and cheerful. All in all, a great little locals place...
Tater tot appetizer was good and crispy. Pizza was good. Music not too loud in order to have conversation. The only draw back is I wish staff were trained to not touch the top/rims of glasses when serving to customers as it is not hygienic ...which can transfer germs bacteria to person drinking from the glass.
As bar food goes, it was decent, but the fries could use major improvement. We had the Philly steak and chicken sandwich. Service was satisfactory on a slow lunch day.
Prices are a little high, with each meal being $20 each before tax and tip. I know many people go for the happy hour. There is a big outdoor seating area in the back which may be nice when the temperatures are not in the mid 90’s.
