Really great soul food spot! Probably the best i have had in the 757. I'm super picky about Mac and cheese and it tasted really good! The fried chicken was awesome and not fried to long.

The food is always delicious but the management of this place is terrible. They never answer the phone when they are supposed to be open. I guess they just come in whenever they feel like it. Called 3 times today and it just rings and rings and rings. Whats the point of having a business if you are just gonna lose customers for lack of consistency.

The food is amazing handsdown!! Kitchen staff did an amazing job perfecting the orders and making the plates neatly. The front of the establishment needs A LOT OF HELP!!!! Not sure if this woman is new or not but the line she kept was horrible. If someone is paying with the card it's not reason you can't start taking another order as the card processes. She also needs to speed up a little. I would definitely place my order before going next time.

Soul food at its best. The flying spaghetti is baked spaghetti with ground turkey &turkey sausage, with whole wings. Delicious.vprices are goid and they give u alot of food.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I often order food from Some Da Eat in Chesapeake and have a great experience, food is always plentiful and good. I normally get the turkey wing dinner with Mac & cheese with yams. Today I got there at 2pm it was crowded as usual on a Sunday, but I waited patiently, by the time I was getting close to ordering, they were out of turkey wings, once I heard that, I was about to leave because I don't eat chicken, beef or pork, I asked if they still have salmon which they did, now this was the first time I ordered salmon from there. After 30mins, I finally was able to order the Salmon dinner which is advertised as Salmon on a bed of rice and two sides. I paid $13.00 for it, got home and was highly upset when I saw a little piece of Salmon from the frozen section in Walmart with a little table spoon of rice, a scoop of Mac and cheese, and a little bit of yams, I couldn't believe it. Plus the salmon was dry as a bone. I'm very disappointed because I don't have money to waste, I have been a repeat customer, but will think twice before eating there again.

For a soul food place the flavor just was not there. The seasoning needs to be on the food to make the soul to sing, plenty of food for the price, but I am from the south and love the flavors of food

We had a pickup order and it was delicious! Pork chop dinners, spaghetti and chicken wings. Waited about 15 mins. The ONLY tip I wanna say is that they need like a screen door or something bc the flies were on my nerves in there! Not on the food or anything, just in the area where you order and wait for your food, but the food and service in my opinion was excellent they were really down to earth and they use center cut chops which pleased me bc they didn't do the cheap route and get this thin fatty big chops . Sides were on point as well. Wish they had a VA BEACH location I'd be there every day but I went to the Chesapeake location

Overall really Good experience, place my order ahead of time. Not too long of a wait, I ordered the Fried Pork Chops with Mac&Cheese and Collard Green/Cabbage mix. The Pork Chops where fried perfectly with nice seasoning. The Mac and cheese was right on par with what I expected and a good size portion.

I had salmon on white rice with cabbage and mac and cheese It was delicious the salmon was tender and seasoned well have not had cabbage in a while but it was so good and I am a very choicey person and if it don't look good I will not eat it or if the place doesn't look clean I am not going in.. but Some da Eat was clean And the food was Good Oh! And it was Hot check it out I think you will enjoy it on Bainbridge in Chesapeake
