Nearly $60 spent, and the rolls were completely unrolled and falling apart as soon as I opened the container. The spicy tuna tasted off and the shrimp shumai barely contained shrimp. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

By far the best sushi I've had in Virginia. This place would be good in downtown LA, it's that legit. Fresh and well made. It's with the price from the AYCE places with gas station sushi. The staff is very nice and professional, makes me almost forget I'm still in VA.

Yama Sushi is a wonderful hidden jewel of delicousness. The atmosphere staff are delightfully pleasant, the food is simply awesome, well prepared, skillfully presented, and plentiful in quality and quantity. I have tried many sushi restaurants and Yama Shushi has become my most favored place to eat, relax, and enjoy a uniquely eastern vibe. My sincerest thanks to the owner and staff for providing a consistently wonderful experience each time I visit!

We ordered the fried gyoza, the #9 combo (2 fried rolls), super duper roll, and shrimp tempura roll. Plus they gave us 4 pieces of the iron man roll. Everything was really delicious and the art/wall hangings are beautiful as well.

I’ve never felt the need to review a spot I frequent but I do have to just share the word. Every time I get takeout from this spot they always give us a treat. Usually it’s a free dessert but every now and then a whole free roll. Either way, they are always so appreciative of the service and it’s wonderful. On top of that, their sushi is amazing and the spot itself is very cozy. 100% I recommend them if you’re looking for a new sushi spot
