Gino's Pizza & Italian Restaurant

After a 3 month absence, We decided to retry the pizza - Sicilian.
Crust on the bottom was not baked long enough & the cheese was unevenly distributed & barely melted. Of course, this was discovered after we got home. So I had to reheat the pizza to melt the cheese & get the crust a bit more crisp. We were regular pizza goers there, sadly we will not return.

Our family has been coming here for a couple of decades. Their pizza is excellent as are their sandwiches and other dishes!

Closes earlier than my grandma on Friday nights….

On a whim we decided to have a steak sub for dinner. When we lived close by Gino's was our steak sub store. The sub was 100%. The young man that took our order was famliy, maybe the grand of owner. I started getting subs from convenience stores but had to stop bc of salt, no flavor. I don't live too far-Ginos steak sub was delicious !!

We stopped in for dinner for the first time and very happy we did. The Sicilian Pizza was the best we have had since moving here. The service was incredible, the restaurant was clean, and the environment was perfect for our impromptu date night. This is going to be a regular spot for us!

Had an appointment in the same shopping center, popped in for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly, food came out hot and fresh and fast. Perfect spot for a quick lunch.

The service was incredible!!!! The atmosphere was awesome!!!! However the food sucked!!!! I got the baked lasagna and my husband got the spaghetti and we both attempted to eat a few bites but soon couldn't without gagging. I remember this was definitely a place to go. Now unless it gets better this will be a place I will pass.

Kinda just...blah.

Interior looks old and untouched. 40 year old dirty switch plates. No effort to refresh ANYTHING. Food was average at best. Even Dominos uses fresh mushrooms on their pizza. Pineapple on my pizza was pale white and hard with no flavor. Green peppers needed to be thinner smaller pieces so that they cook along with the pizza.

Overall, nothing was bad. Nothing was good either. Pietro's in Chester beats them on every element.

They aren’t welcoming to African Americans. (The two young Hispanic men are nice. The rest of them are not.) This is super weird because they are Hispanic. Figure that out!?!? Also, This place picks and chooses when/who they will give their military discount to. I have ordered the same exact thing from this restaurant since i moved here 2 years ago and on my last visit, the lady working the register told me that i didn’t spend enough to receive their military discount! I have chosen to spend my black veteran dollars else where.

Been coming here forever, since the Mortal Kombat 1 and Pole Position arcade machine were in the back! Ginos is a Chesterfield staple , some of the best pizza around! And still one of (if not the) most affordable prices around! Still one of my favorite lasagna dish! Mad Love for the fam, they have (all) always been great, over the many years.. A great place for a quick lunch or relaxed dinner. The staff, service, atmosphere, environment is always nice and homely.
