Breakfast at AJ’s was the best meal of our trip to Chincoteague! They had several vegetarian choices. Food, drinks, service, and ambiance were top notch!

My family has enjoyed AJ’s before, as we’ve had dinner here in the past, and we also loved the subs from The Drift back when it was at its previous location. Because of those experiences, I made a breakfast reservation and was really excited to try the new breakfast menu.
Unfortunately, breakfast just wasn’t it.
We ordered drip coffee, the Western Bowl, the Benny Bowl, a Belgian waffle, and the lemon mascarpone crepe. Overall, the food was very underwhelming, especially considering the prices.
The Belgian waffle honestly tasted like a frozen waffle you could make at home. The Western Bowl had almost no flavor, which was surprising for a dish with peppers, onions, and other ingredients that should make it stand out. The Benny Bowl was fine, but it was completely unremarkable and nothing I’d order again. The biggest disappointment was the lemon mascarpone crepe.
I really wanted to love breakfast here because we’ve had such positive experiences with AJ’s in the past. Sadly, this visit missed the mark, and we left feeling disappointed. I truly hope they can improve the breakfast menu because the potential is definitely there.

A perfect evening, spoiled only by a family let their kid play videos out loud on their phone. Might AJ’s consider a no phone noise policy?

My wife and I went there for breakfast the morning before we left. Both of our orders were incorrect, our waitress had to reorder both of our breakfasts.
The second time that they came out, I had the seafood crepe, the crepe was basically a thinner pancake. The Swiss cheese was not melted, at all, I asked for the sauce on the side and it came smothered with an extra sauce.
My wife got one of the bowls, there were no potatoes included in them.

We had a lovely dinner & the food was very good! Our server, Angie, was very friendly. We had a reservation which I think was important.
The restaurant was fairly small inside and it was busy so it was a bit slow and noisy, but that’s to be expected this time of the year. We would absolutely dine here again!

Caprese salad with a crab cake on top. Garden salad in the background. Both were very fresh and delicious. Lovely atmosphere and exceptionally friendly service. Amanda was our waitress and couldn't have been nicer and more prompt. We sat outside which was very nice. The speciality iced latte I ordered was amazing. I usually add stevia to everything and this didn't need a thing. Highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner when visiting Chincoteague.

the place is nice with a pretty interior. the music they play is questionable. the menu is big and there’s a lot of alcohol options. the service is okay, and the wait for the food was long. but here’s the thing - the food was so good that you forget about the wait and the price. it is definitely pricey though so buckle up if you’re coming here.
what i recommend:
sweet tea
the fried rice balls appetizer
crab cakes
mashed potatoes!!!!
pork chop entree
very good food. hopefully i will get a chance to come back. it’s just the price that kills me.

We waited 15 minutes for our table (after making a reservation) and were told the party before us was taking exorbitantly long to leave. This is unacceptable for the price point and after making a reservation. We left after declining an offer for a table in the patio, and being suggested to eat at the restaurant across the street.
Didn't even get to food they act like hells kitchen but are most definitely not won't server certain items last I checked money is money we made a reservation arrived 10 minutes early and still had to wait 45 minutes they had the air turned down to what seemed like a negative temperature so definitely not enjoyable and probley won't go back anytime soon but I guess A for effort

Our server was awesome, but honestly the food was just barely ok. For the price the lobster and shrimp were tough and dry. Very disappointing. 4 meals were just ok. Thank goodness out server was wonderful.
