Went here for vacation and had to get soup for my boyfriend who was sick, he loved the chicken and rice soup but said the miso soup was a bit too fishy. I had vegetable fried rice and egg rolls which were both amazing. We used it as leftovers throughout the week and it was still amazing! They were pretty quick with the online order and it was super easy to go in and out. Will be eating here again!

The Not So Good: finding the right Chinese restaurant can be a total crapshoot. Some Chinese restaurant served what is called authentic Chinese food which tends to be less appealing to most typical American taste. Others serve an Americanized form of Chinese food with more robust and sweet flavors that tend to be more popular. This review is based on only two visits, so in all fairness, it isn't a cross menu observation however; on both occasions we found the flavors to be sub par/very bland. The szechuan chicken was extremely bland. The fried rice as well. Both dishes were prepared well and looked fresh but simply lacked flavor. The szechuan chicken was 90% onion....it tasted like chicken in gravy
Summary: it seems to me that the chief concern with going to unfamiliar Chinese restaurants these days is the sanitary conditions. Let me put your mind at rest by saying that this place is very well kept and the food appears fresh. Unfortunately the overall taste will make it a questionable investment of time and money.
Update 5/23/25:: We have visited this restaurant several times over the years since this initial review. I'm pleased to say it has become progressively better over that period. The orange chicken and szechuan chicken is miles ahead of their earlier renditions. As with any good ownership, they've clearly listened and made adjustments. Order with confidence, this is a good place

Asian Express is excellent, far beyond our expectations. We travel from Toronto and was amazed by the quality and quantity of the food. Besides service was great too, very friendly. Highly recommend!

I had a bad experience in this restaurant, first let me start off by saying i placed two orders of chicken and broccoli went in to pay as i was paying I have two different payment methods the lady at the register was rude off the bat , had an attitude, I payed with card and the first time she kept making it seem like I didn’t have money on my card , kept telling me their was something wrong with my card and payment didn’t go through then we proceeded to try again and it denied again and she’s laughs at me and that’s when I looked at my account and noticed I was charged the amount and she was trying to double charge me , if you ask I wouldn’t not recommend going to this rude restaurant where they laugh at you in your face and claim you don’t got money on your card. That’s not good customer service she was lucky I didn’t call health department on her. 0/10

Excellent food and preparation time! We often order carryout.
Cashier was super rude and had a bad attitude. They screwed up my order and charged me an extra $10. And my food was cold. I didn't order it and pick it up later; I ordered and sat there and ate. It's basically take out with tables.

I've never eaten at a better Chinese restaurant in my life!!! The food was fresh and you could tell the oil they used to deep fry my battered chicken chunks in was sooo fresh! Not old and stale, like most other restaurants. The staff was super friendly, even though it was close to closing time and the tables were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Asian Express in Chincoteague Island va.

I’ve ordered here probably 6-8 times total. My previous orders were all great. I had Singapore Mai fun and basic maki rolls. No issues, tasted good. Service is fast as usual.
The last order I placed was yesterday. Got the Kung pao chicken which was sadly tasteless and the chicken seemed like it had been refried so it was dry and stringy. Ordered several sushi rolls: the tuna on the Rainbow roll was a weird color. The Summer roll was drowned in sauce. Would have been decent if not for that. All the other rolls had very squishy avacodo in the center. The tempura roll could have been nice if not for the overall sogginess. The worst part is that both myself and my partner ended up sick last night.
