Famous Pizza & Sub Shop

I guess this will be my second review. Although their food isn't horrible, it's not great. They're constantly busy. I ordered a cheesesteak what's a side of lettuce and I didn't get it. I always order lettuce on the side so it doesn't get soggy. Then I tried to call back to ask about it and I can't even get through. This place is the only place in town that delivers. Unless you want to drive, then you will pay for whatever they give you. Mr Ameer Abdullah

I have come here multiple times with my family when I visit and we like it. I come here with my Nana and Pop pop. They have a great Greek salad with chicken and their salad dressing is good too. The pizza is ok/good. And it is a pretty good atmosphere. The service is pretty ok/good too. I like coming here. I would recommend it to someone. And I would come back here for sure. Food was great, didn’t tell us about rewards program and could have saved 10% (4 pizzas and salad) to gain points for the week (once we found out they did add the purchase), and flies everywhere inside.

Salad is excellent! Pizza is really good, and they even offer a Gluten Free version that tastes fantastic! Great service, very polite too! Our family has been going to Famous Pizza for decades, always making it the traditional first night dinner on vacation! If you're in Chincoteague, you gotta eat here :)

Really good pizza at a fair price! Famous came recommended by a couple employees at our hotel - it did not disappoint!!

We ordered for pick-up early Friday evening and our order was done in about 20min. The pizza sauce was very good and the pepperoni had a little heat - overall, very tasty! We also got jalapeños on half of the pizza - really good for those that like it spicy!

Both times I got subs during two weeks summer 2025 in Chincoteague the sub rolls were stale. Fries and onion rings were good but the subs fell off a cliff and were just not very good. In the past many years, Famous food has been a pretty good deal.
