My husband and I stopped here twice on our vacation to Chincoteague this year. It's a great little spot for produce and seafood! We got a couple dozen live blue crabs and they were delicious. The folks that run the stand are super nice and down to earth. Make sure you stop by on your next trip to Chincoteague!
If you want take out. RICKY'S SEAFOOD IS THE PLACE.. under five miles from were we was staying. The lady working on Saturday, was very friendly. Would even bring your food out to you. Order steamed shrimp and fried crabs delicious. Have other fish efc.. items on menu. Also fresh fruit, We had a wonderful experience on the island.
This gem is away from most of the commercial places on the island, but it’s worth the visit. They have fried and steamed baskets (with fries or hush puppies), along with sandwiches. Definitely recommend the scallops - fried or steamed. They’re the definition of mouth-watering.
The place also has seasonal produce, raw/cooked seafood that you can take in bulk, and jars of preserves, pickles, and sauces. I’m very happy we made the visit.
