We were a bit disappointed with our meals. My wife's burger was tasty but a little dry. I had the Chincoteague Chicken which also very tasty but the chicken was very dry, but there was a big amount of crab. It was a very noisy environment and the place was only half full. Helen was an excellent server. I don't think it was worth the money

Beautiful location, the server gave us binoculars to spy the ponies across the water and light house. We went for lunch and yes it was one person and she was wonderful, attentive and did extra things such as offering our drink refills to go. Extensive menu. One of the best hush puppies I’ve had - they are huge, too. Fried green tomatoes were tasty. The view is amazing. Will be back.Kid-friendliness: They had a coloring book and crayons available.

Great view, fish was fresh and well prepared. Good selection of kid food as well as flat breads. My kid saw the "pizza version" immediately. The flatbread "pizza" was good, although the sauce made some small parts of it soggy. The only other downside is I wish there was more of a selection of fresh veggies. Wasn't really an issue but we hear another waitress talk about a daily side while we were eating that we were told wasn't available when we ordered. Also a good selection of wine and beer...Music Friday and Saturday night but we didn't stay since we had a 7yo.

While Crystal was lovely and accommodating, the food was very disappointing. Nachos were 95% dry chips with very little toppings. The citrus salad was served with the rind still on the fruit and was difficult to eat. Teriyaki tuna bits, while complimentary to the salad, were extremely dry and overcooked. We were so disappointed.

Food was really good but the live music needed to tune down the noise; too loud for this small restaurant. Got there before dark so we enjoyed the water view.

Just home from two days visiting Chincoteague. Stopped into the Pearl after a nice boat tour to warm up with some soup and cocktails. Though short handed, Raquel was a friendly attentive server. She sat people, took orders, made drinks, and served the food. My table of 5 enjoyed our food and drinks very much. Lovely building right along side the water. Raquel was really wonderful, we really enjoyed this spot.

Went to The Pearl for lunch last Saturday. Ordered breaded shrimp basket with onion straws, salad.. salad arrives with salad on a paper plate and given a bag of napkin, fork, knife, and spoon, the kind you would get at a food truck or dunking donuts. Had th ask for bigger napkins as the tiny one in the bag wss too small. Entree arrived next. Shrimp was fried but not breaded, onion straws were broken pieces of onion rings. NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED.. Didn't like the picnic were alone, but then the food was completely wrong. Might have just as well gone to a food truck!! Skip the Pearl. They are certainly no Ettas!!

I have eaten at the Pearl twice and it was just okay. Sticker shock for mediocre food isn’t fun. The location is fantastic…. And I think that’s what you pay for. It isn’t the cuisine. The decor is that of an outdated cafeteria. Restaurant staff were nice. Bar was rowdy and not somewhere I’d want to be. It’s a shame too because The Pearl could be such a special spot.

The food is overpriced for the quality. Ambiance is also a 2, the music from the bar is too loud for dinner guests. Wait staff was acceptable. I have given them 3 tries for dinner and will not be back. Most recent visit the crab soup was rancid and had to be returned to the kitchen, but was not deducted from the bill. Bill was adjusted once brought to their attention. They may be having growing pains, but the food quality needs improvement.
