There were four of us spending the day at Chincoteague when someone suggested The Pearl for dinner. One phone call for a reservation and we were on our way. Ten minutes later we pulled in and parked at the steps, walked in and there was only one occupied table, so we had our choice of seating. Have been here a few times and as always love the location and view. They were out of oysters and Jack Daniels. I can live without the Jack, but honestly was craving oysters for dinner (you know, when in Rome so to speak). My back up selection of a wedge salad with grilled shrimp was vey tasty and well done but the shrimp were tiny. Others in our party had a decent crab cake and an excellent beef skewer( best choice that night). The server did a great job despite the kitchen choice...
We spent our last vacation night here and couldnt have been happier. Logan, our bartender, was warm and welcoming and spent time with us talking about the island. Although we were pretty much the only customers there as the off season had just started, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We had the Tuna Nachos and Raw Oysters to start and the King Prime Rib and a Caesar Salad with Shrimp for entrees, all were very good. Can’t wait to go back!!
